Hey Arab. Glenn is right about the house thing at least!
But for you info even thats worth 6 times less than at least two others I skate with. And Lennox Lewis (world heavyweight Boxing champ) lives 200yds from my front door, I guess I must be slumming it.
Arguing about property prices is a lost cause for you, especially against Brits but the rest of your arguments are pretty good. 'cept for the N word which I take offense at used in ANY context.

Yeah, all your quotes were out of context. For what it's worth I don't disagree with what you were saying in most of them.
I was just trying to illustate how lame it is to drag up a small part of a year old post in an attempt to dicredit someone.
Johny's comments were f*cked up and indefensible but originally made in response to a bunch of sabre rattling, xenophobic 'hawks' in a completely different forum. Selectively quoting them in response to his 'glad someone is counting the iraqi dead' post is also f*cked up.
Oh, and bragging about the value of your house is lame, otherwise i'd tell you how much more than that mine's worth.

Hey G7enn(out of context)-jonny douchebags doesnt want thier heads? maybe you can explain these comments from jonny for us all.
"arab i have mailed you some screenshots i took of dead and dying american soldiers i hope they make you laugh the way i did"
"hey my personal hope is that saddam wastes so many american boys the US will no longer have the strength or the will to impose itself on other nations in future"
Out of context, Try spot on the money Pal!
As for my posts that you have takin out of context,
Yep I said every word, Niggers come in all shapes sizes and colors, you and jonny are Niggers, it doesnt pertain to ones skin color.
"Jonny Commy is gonna a have a very Large Welcomeing committee when he comes to the US, Heck even the Marine Corps is gonna be there to salute him in their own special way"
This was in referance to some skateboarders that are in the military that took offense to jonny douchebags anti US propaganda, and your point is?
"people die, tough s#@!." Yep, happens every day, in my front yard and in yours, live with it, deal with it and go on, dont dwell on it, and your point is?
"I answered the door and put my 9mm right to his face and backed him right back to his car calling him every Nigger word I could think of" Yep, This was in referance to the Nigger that hit my mother, he's lucky I didint shoot his ass. And your point is?
"If I was left in charge, bleeding heart US liberals that shout anti BUSH propaganda during war times would be put in jail" I believe in the sedition act, and your point is?
"Why am I conversing with non entities of skateboarding" This basically means you G7enn, and your point is?
"I live in a $500.000.00 home but a stones throw from the beach" Actually the price has gone up, my neighbor just sold his house for $565.000.00. And your point is?
"I dont like Niggers" I dont like you or jonny, and your point is?
What does and of this have to do with WAR?
Your out of context scumbag

Kinda sad in many ways when a few of our slalom family, Mrs. Zannah Hacket and Hugh tell us about their children. Just being a Mom and a Dad. They are part of our community. They shared part of themselves. Because they thought possibly there was something/somebody here to relate to. I know I do relate better to many of you and even tho we are 100's of miles apart it doesn't make us less friends. When I was in the hospital I got a few emails from people I met right here. I made me feel pretty good, better than laying in the hospital anyway.. I cannot understand the USA bashing in that context. As a former Marine I seriously empathize with you both and each of you have been in my thought and prayers for the last two days.
Don't blame Arab for that prior, If I retorted yesterday it would have been worse, I was very saddened by some of that rubbish.
I am so stoked, WLAC, JPL, Cliff C's Birthday. It is going to be good! David Carrasco 3-3rds on Nov 2, that's awesome! are you ready to go pro yet? I'll be chasing you merrily down the hill.

Its kinda funny how some british hate americans som badly, but whe I was there 2 months ago, they were wearing US clothes, listening to US music, following our fashions, and every bar full of young people was serving Budweiser (the crappy us version) and many had MTV playing....god, it must be hard to live in a country that hates America as much as the Brits, yet be stuck following the trends of us... P.S. I only met 2 people who didnt like americans, and many of the older Englishmen I spoke with were able to see through the crap of the media, and know why the young men/women from our countries are there fighting, and risking their lives, so the hatred twords us isnt as bad as some would lead us to believe

Arab: Johnyx didn't "call for the heads of their kids", he suggested we might want to also consider the thousands of dead iraqis too, which is the spirit of rememberance day here in the UK. You of course decided to drag up some old Johnyx quotes and use them out of context.
But if that's the way this forum works, let's see a little Arab from around the same time:
"Jonny Commy is gonna a have a very Large Welcomeing committee when he comes to the US, Heck even the Marine Corps is gonna be there to salute him in their own special way" "people die, tough s#@!." "I answered the door and put my 9mm right to his face and backed him right back to his car calling him every Nigger word I could think of" "If I was left in charge, bleeding heart US liberals that shout anti BUSH propaganda during war times would be put in jail" "Why am I conversing with non entities of skateboarding" "I live in a $500.000.00 home but a stones throw from the beach" "I dont like Niggers"
And loads of crap about Indys of course

Lansing-Yeah I couldnt agree more with you, what a bummer that Jack, Hugh and the lovely Zannah Hackett had to express some personal feelings on the slalom forum about those that fight for our country instead of something that deals with slalom, what a bummer that jonnyx has to call for the heads of their kids, If I was you I would be ashamed of myself knowing that you really dont care about those that fight for your freedom to say as you please on the slalom forum. As for Jack and John G. and Chris and Glen and Hugh quiting or getting booted from this forum, Lets see, Jack, posted yesterday, Chris posted today, John Gilmour posted a few days ago, Hugh posted yesterday, Whos Glen? is that the guy that tried to take money out of the webmasters Pocket by trying to get the advertising vendors to pull their ads from NCDSA unless the webmaster banned me? maybe if you got a problem with me, you could by an ad, call me all the names you want, then pull the ad because I respond to it?
When you say: It seems that many people have some personal problem with you, and I have NO idea if they are founded or not If you dont know if they are "founded or not" then why are you commenting or trying to rebuke me, is this a case of the pot calling the kettle black?
Or this: But I have noticed that you regularly bash people if they aren't winning races
Please take the time to use the search function here at NCDSA and repost the post where I have bashed somebody for not winning races. Im the one that gets bashed for not winning races! But then again I race against the best racers in the world, I dont spend much time and money sandbagging to get a win, like some guys that havent the talent to do good against the best, I prefer to test my skills against the best. Please be more specific instead of throwing out generalizations.
Or this: "but if anyone actually cares about slalom, then it seems like a friggin' no brainer that this forum is hurtin' and probably actually turns many readers/skaters OFF to slalom.
Lansing-go to the homepage here at NCDSA, you will see that this is the busiest forum here, it is the first and foremost slalom forum on the net, ofton imitated, never duplicated. Slalom is thriving world wide, and non slalomers like yourself will not bring it down, no matter how hard you try.
or this: so maybe people should just take all this crap over there
Yeah maybe Jack , Hugh, Zannah and jonny should have takin it over there, I was fifth in line on the topic, why are you attacking me? maybe you should heed your own words and "take all this crap over there"...... instead of bringing it here?
Lansing-maybe everybody should just stop posting on NCDSA so you can catch up, lets all do this, we can refrain from posting until you show up and catch up on the current events or topic of the day, once you have caught up and are on the same page as the rest of us, let everybody know then we can go on for one more day, you can show up again 3 days later catch up with the days worth of posts and we will do it again, I know once we all can make you happy that this will be a much better place.
Thanx for your concern about all these people not posting about Slalom on the slalom forum.
Now you are one of them also.
By the way, I enjoyed your second post ever in 3 yrs on the slalom forum, Thanx for contributing.
Fluitt-D id Jason show up? Stoked watching Pirnack at Breck this year, You guys got it going on!
WAX-Jonny is from the UK, he hates anything and everything that has to do with the evil USA, you know that country that is trying to rid the world of his beloved terrorist killer tyrant dictator friends.
Slalom is Fun!
God Bless America and its Allies
Oh and by the way, During Desert Storm I had a friend that was in the military, He was stationed in Saudi Arabia, he and some other skaters built a ramp near their barracks, They also took the time to share the joy of skateboarding with the natives. War grows skateboarding in places it would never be. How cool is that!

Man, this forum is somethin' else! I'm a "longtime lurker" who has been reading & sometimes posting to ncdsa for over 3 years, and of all the forums on ncdsa the slalom forum is by FAR the most out-of-control (and 75% off-topic, it seems).
Call me lame, but IMO it gets really, really, reeeeeally OLD and tiring and downright boring having to slog through politics and personal attack after personal attack after personal attack (and the dozens of responses) to pick out the posts that actually deal with *slalom*. (or street slalom or whatever)
As an outside observer with no professional or personal interests at stake, I think it's a fair and simple (and disturbing) observation that when some of the longest slalom advocates/supporters like Jack and John G. and Chris and Glen and Hugh either quit or get booted or whatever, then something is SERIOUSLY screwed up in this forum. Seriously.
(And before I get bashed: Arab - No, I'm not a slalom racer and I totally suck at it but enjoy doing it. :-) It seems that many people have some personal problem with you, and I have NO idea if they are founded or not. But I have noticed that you regularly bash people if they aren't winning races, which seems irrelevent as to whether their post is valid or not. Anyway...
I have NO personal relationship with any of the pro-Arab or anti-Arab factions, but if anyone actually cares about slalom, then it seems like a friggin' no brainer that this forum is hurtin' and probably actually turns many readers/skaters OFF to slalom.
My suggestion would be for Adam to add a whole new forum where people can have all the personal and political discussions they want. Like the "take it outside" forum? Or the "flamethrower" forum? The "bulletin board" sorta functioned that way 2-3 years back, and lately the "guest book" seems to be 90% politics & personal stuff, so maybe people should just take all this crap over there.
Yes, yes -- occasional flames *will* happen, and discussions can and do get "heated" -- that has always been the case, in every forum -- it's amazing how hot-and-bothered people can get about truck geometry, for example! But at least most of the heated discussions on the other forums remain "on-topic." This forum, on the other hand, just takes the freakin' cake. When you log on to the "guest book," you pretty much know that you aren't going to find many posts that actually deal with skateboarding, so whatever. But it is really lame that the "slalom" forum has turned into the same thing!
For regular ncdsa addicts (i.e. people who read 7-days a week and post at least 3 times a week, sometimes 3 a day), slogging through all this crap is OK, I guess. But for those who are actually INTERESTED in skating but only check in once a week or so, catching up on page after page after page of personal garbage and sarcasm and/or childish attacks is just a drag.
Sure, there are those who will say "So what? Stay the f&$% away if you don't like it." But I'm not so sure that the *vast* majority of users would agree. In fact, I would venture quite the contrary.

You can, of course, get 100% artificial surfing. I'm talking either a wave pool or one of them standing wave contraptions. Mountain biking works very well in an urban environment, you can snowboard on a dry slope or an indoor slope. I guess skateparks are an artificial version of natural skateboarding which would be any bank; pool etc. outside of a park. About the only sport/lifestyle/artform that I can think of that it would be very difficult to reproduce is anything that involves wind power. I love 'em all!

Continued from the slalom forum...
"And for the record, mountain biking and snowboarding have nothing to do with understanding and living "in" nature. A trail is cut into nature, altering the natural environment, it stays there unchanged, to be ridden repetitively (somewhat dependent upon the weather, sure)."
Actually, many of the trails that I ride are natural. Larger animals, such as bears, coyotes, mountain lions, and deer, take the path of least resistance through the brush. Trails get worn by them, and erosion takes over, keeping them there. And trails change constantly, and are different every time I ride them. Erosion from wind and rain, other bikers, horses, hikers, landslides, and even trail maintainence, all of these keep the trails in a constant state of flux. I never know exactly what to expect on a ride.
For many of us, mountain biking has *everything* to do with nature. I'm getting out of the city, I'm surrounded by trees, rocks, streams, clear skies, the occasional coyote, deer or rabbit, and hawks circling overhead. The worst thing out there is my own sweat. I have a deeper appreciation of the mountains and desert because I ride a bike. I'm more aware of the fragile state of the trails and mountain/desert ecosystem than most people, and I often pick up after people that apparently don't give a damn about it. As do most of the people I know that ride. As I pointed out before, every one of my surfer friends is also a mountain biker. And they all get the same rush, zen, soul, or whatever you want to call it, from biking that they do from surfing. But based on your previous posts, you're saying that this isn't possible...
"One uses their own energy or machinery or, uh, gravity, to propel them along. Yes, this is no worse than skateboarding, but it is nothing like surfing on which one is in the water, waiting for our sun's energy (which causes the wind, which causes the swell, etc.) to come along and move us"
Surfing is still a gravity sport. Yes, the wave is moving, but what you're actually doing is "falling" down the face. If the face isn't steep enough, the wave just rolls on by, rather than pushing you. Its still the same principle that snowboarders use going down a slope, or a mountain biker on a descent. And just as I have to pedal up the hill first, you still have to use your own energy to paddle out.
As for your argument that surfing is a purer sport because the terrain is 100% natural, keep in mind that it is still possible to mountain bike or snowboard on 100% natural terrain. There are plenty of trails out there that are not man-made. And in the early days of snowboarding, ski resorts didn't allow us. For years, I had to drive up to the mountains, park at the bottom of a nice slope, and hike up to the top, and ride down a completely ungroomed, and except for my tracks, completely untouched slope. Plenty of boarders still do this, as well as use helicopters, to get to untouched, ungroomed terrain. And skateboarding is completely dependent on man-made terrain. Streets, ditches, pools, ramps, stairways, none of these occur naturally. So by your reasoning, shouldn't skating be the lesser of all these sports?
Just as I don't "get" surfing the way you do, it appears you don't "get" mountain biking the way I do. You apparently assume that since mountain biking (or snowboarding, or other activities) doesn't give you that same inner satisfaction that surfing does, nobody else could get it either. The fact is, there is no "best" sport or lifestyle. What's best for you may not be best for someone else. Best, or most soulful, these are all purely subjective.
And for what its worth, Santa Cruz/NHS, the company that gave us the precision bearing wheel, Indy trucks, and the punk/skating connection (via Olson and Peters), also makes snowboards and mountain bikes. So are they sellouts bent on destroying skating, or do they simply see the same connection that I do?
