I blew off work today and went skating, it was fun.
Doesn't cnn.com or one of those news sites have a forum where you can talk about politics and bash whomever to your hearts content? If I was into politics and being a troll, I would probably be looking for a site called politics.com or something, not Northern California Downhill SKATEBOARDING Association(I highlighted SKATEBOARDING to make sure everyone sees that and maybe catches the drift).

That'll be one set for when you talk out of your mouth. Another for when you bite the pillow when dads at home. The third set is kept clean for Sundays. And the fourth set is for when you talk out of your a@*e. (The most used set i'm sure)

OK "Huh?", You wanna keep up this little charade, that's fine- I'll play along, but I have a message for JohnnyX (and I think you can pass it along to him), Perhaps you find it difficult to relate to the situation in Iraq because you don't have any family mambers over there, but some of us reading these posts do and comments like the two below are very hurtful to those who may.

"arab i have mailed you some screenshots i took of dead and dying american soldiers i hope they make you laugh the way i did"

"hey my personal hope is that saddam wastes so many american boys the US will no longer have the strength or the will to impose itself on other nations in future"

I know sometimes we get caught up in the heat of the moment on particular issues, especially ones as complex as Iraq. But posting things like that invites anger and hostility. We're all intelligent people (longboarders anyway) here, we know things get said that we don't really mean. I think everyone would forgive your (or Johnny or whoever) comments if you just apologized and said you didnt mean it. How do you think JohnnyX would feel if I were so inclined to take the post in question and copy and paste it to every board on this site and include his email addy? You think he might be angry and feel alienated? I tend to think so. In conclusion, it doesn't take much to say something in the heat of arguement, but it does take a bigger man to admit he was wrong. I'll say it, I don't dislike French or British people, I'm not even for the war in Iraq, but to say terrible things about the good men and women that are giving their lives to protect a cause that they might not even stand for is worse than wrong. I also want to appeal to those people that Johnny may have offended- I know, things like that get you angry, I was angry to say the least as well, but we need to stop this useless bickering and talk intelligently about a real solution. Lets (as fellow skateboarders) make an example for all the other groups out there and show them that differences can be worked out and fighting is not the only way. Email me if you want

Ryan....READ THE DAMN POSTS!

I have never been anti American. If you cant distinguish between the posts of someone who fervantly believes in a balanced picture, not the 'gung ho' ones from you, or 'USA' nor the very left anti-American ones from Johnny X then there is no point trying to argue with you. Know your enemy. And you clearly DONT.

You may be too afraid to type in your name, but by the IP #'s its fairly obvious that HUH? is Johnnyx. Big man can run his mouth, err, fingers, but he cant own up to what he said. I'll copy and paste again so no one reading will be able to forget when they reply to you.

To your last question. Nope. Freeserve has over 8 MILLION users.

To your first question......Yes, Right, you REALLY have no idea do you? The American truck driver was an ex-dairy farmer, working for Halliburton. I doubt whether he knew what he was getting himself into. If he had known the true facts I'm sure he would have been glad for you to have gone in his place.

Show some respect and understanding of the situation. Please.

Jonnyx
I was raised in Germany ( Air Force brat ). So my pride level is very high
for America. My dad fought for it and because of this I wasn't even raised in America. I love my country and would do anything for it. I don't always agree
with our government, but I would would be fighting in Iraq right now if they needed me ( 40 now ). Plus I paid my dues growing up watching ABBA on German
tv.
What's your problem. You hate America for some reason and I'm betting it's jealousy that there are no good dentists in England.
Do you ever post about skateboarding?? Isn't there some other site that you can bash America on??
I'd like to give you a 3 stooges slap that your momma would feel.

Actually, no deaths make me laugh. Not one. Not ANY. NONE.

Can you answer a question for me now. This week we were shown an American truck driver, who was captured, then released by Iraqis. What the devil was a US non-military truck driver doing driving in a convoy in Iraq? Cant they find ANY local truck drivers....or at least use bona fide military personnel in what was obviously a conflict zone. I just dont get it.

Whilst I have no wish to give my name in such a delicate discorse as this, and coupled with the fact that I am so much more pro-American than you could ever understand (I just like to see the CORRECT facts), your assumption that all IP addresses are the same is WRONG.
The IP I use is Freeserve. The same as johhny X's and a massive number of other users. The webmaster can tell the difference. However you cant. Just another fact you cant sift out from the useless infomation you've been fed.

does not mean all fish are mackerel. small things close up look the same as big things far away. aww, you'll get the hang of it.

Strange choice of name, Mr Ryan. A character from a movie that neglected to acknowledge that the majority of troops involved in the D-Day landings wernt Americans.

An important fact to remember is that Britain was at war with Germany in 1939, two years before Pearl Harbor.

As for the Hollywood movies youy seem to take yor historical knowledge from, well lets see....In U-571 it showed the Americans capturing the Enigma coding device from a German U boat. In fact the Royal Navy captured it in May 1941, before the US entered the war.

The forthcoming film "The Few" centres around the story of a US pilot fighting in the Battle of Britain, again BEFORE the US's entry into the war. Of the 2900 allied pilots involved, 12 were American. And those that did sign up risked jail for fighting for a foreign power, a fact that wont be mentioned in the film.

Now, OF COURSE, most Europeans will acknowledge the VITAL part the US played in the defeat of Hitler, and would in no way want to insult the lives of those that fell, it would be a good idea if you looked at the history of the conflict and learnt from it, perhaps with some humility, and less of a 'gung ho' attitude?

As for SJ Ryans comment "You should be a little more appreciative of a country that is actually strong enough to make the tough decisions and stick with it to the end" can I just say one word....Vietnam?
