Copers were avail. for:Six,Ex,Ful,and Mids,NO Halfs. Bushings(inner and outer):Soft(blue),Medium(red/stock),Hard(white).A n outer Extra-hard(clear) was also available. Plastics:Lappers(I loved the hand-drawn instructions), "Space-Pads" in 5/16" and 9/16","Wedge-Pads"(I forget dimensions),"Shock-Pads"1/8" rubber, and "Base-Grip" 1/8" foam. Another thing I am unsure about are the "Stimulator" bushings that were another inner bushing. Anybody know what made them "stimulating" ?     Rate post 12644 ! Half-Track:5+1/8" axle,2+5/8" hanger Mid-Track:6+1/4" axle,3+3/8" hanger Full-Track:6+3/4" axle,3+3/4" hanger Ex-Track:8" axle,5" hanger Six-Track:9" axle,6" hanger If I am correct,be aware of that you will get Mids if you ask for Halfs.     Rate post 12603 ! I'll say that you married well. Don't get me wrong, my wife is a great gal, but she just doesn't quite understand this whole skateboard thing. She thinks I am crazy for what I am doing. On a regular basis one of her friends will call her to let her know that some guy who "looks just like hugh" was flying down their street... oh well... Best-Of Ncdsa (0)   Informative (0)   Abuse(0)   Flag Moderators (0) Hobie Flex Slalom On 5/12/2000 Pre-School Rider wrote in from (209.198.nnn.nnn) My dear,sweet wife bought the Hobie that David Kirk had posted up for sale,as a birthday gift to me(Boy,did I ever marry well!).It came a few days late,but is SO worth the extra few days wait(what's a few days as compared to wanting one for 20+ years).Yesterday,I put some original Fulltracks,and 78A,65mm Krypto/Satalite wheels on it and took it out for a run.It's so smooth,and just flows from arc to arc.I have to say that this one sweet ride!I'm going to switch up the wheels to my C-70 Kryptos so that it's all pre-'80 tech. I paid 5 dollars for them in Londons Brixton Market, just as the first wave of the craze died. Am I right in thinking they all came with a non-standard hole pattern? I have this image of this Stroker ad, one of the only real ads, with an actual picture,instead of drawings,that page is long gone from my magazine collection,most of the mags are missing the covers ,some a couple of layers in,anyway the ad had a guy at a starting gate ready to explode ,the trucks were definitely prototype ,real links ect. They arrived in the 70's not the sixties (74 I think) available in Europe not the states and went through various phases from the fibre based metal reinforced original through polycarbonate to solid wood and eventualy ply. They used their own trucks and wheels to start with and then used Lazer trucks later. Those original ones were virtualy indestructable but they hurt like hell when they hit you !     Rate post 12191 ! Best-Of Ncdsa (0)   Informative (0)   Abuse(0)   Flag Moderators (0) Vision Vex On 5/4/2000 Pre-School Rider wrote in from (209.198.nnn.nnn) Jonas,I've got one,still ride it often,especially on ramps/pools.I think I got it in '89,but I'm not sure.I'd love to confirm the year,but my Thrasher collection is long gone.As to the feel underfoot,it's quite grippy under the toe/heel of the front foot,which makes Smith grinds,rock+rolls,one/two wheelers,and various manual variations really easy to do.It's got a BIG tail,and mine has kept it's "pop" in ollies quite well over the years.Unfortunately,the nose is rather small,but that's the norm for that vintage of stick.This was a solid,tough,heavy board,but a really good pool/gutter axe.I've kept either Indys or Ranallis on it,as the wheel base is too long for Sixtracs,and ran 60mm Krypto Pro 2,or 63mm Alva Hardcores on it.If you got a line on one,scoop it up,it's pretty good for an Old School deck.     Rate post 12121 !
