Happy Thanksgivin’ Kenny, Robin and Ryder!
Of the many people and things I’m thankful for, you’re all on my list. You have been the catalyst that has brought many an old skooler back to the stoke! For that I am thankful!
Thanks to the rest of the folks I have come to meet and know through Kenny.
Thanks for Giving! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

If you are going to Mexico...id suggest Puerto Escondido
1 plane in 1 plane out each day...no crowds...life moves at a slow pace World Class (best barrels on our continent) surfing in town at Playa Zicatela awesme taxi ride breaks(less than 5 minutes) from there to the point , everything you could ask for... the most heavenly place I have been south of the border

Thanks Jeff and Rob for the info for the surfin safari, I was beginning to think I had posted on the Olson/Hackett forum! What's a guy gotta do to get some action on the Gong, maybe if we called it Gang of Buckeyes and posted pics of our Ohio State tattoos, and PPS boards. I have not been to Maui or Mexico so I'm looking for something in April. Perhaps this will help to spark it up!

Geo,
I think Kenny put me onto Nosara Costa Rica as a surf spot. I'm heading down Nov 27 for 8 days. Go to ebay and search nosara, we bought our package through a non profit the benefits the local school system.
Check out this site http://www.surfingnosara.com this guy Erik posts photos everyday of the surf, also has a cool forum to get the lowdown. Knowing we had a trip scheduled there for a month or so has been cool, reading this guys posts and reports, I feel like I nkow the place.
The dudes that run http://www.safarisurfschool.com have been very cool and we are looking forward to getting wet next week!
Hope this helps, know it's not Mexico, I'll post up some photos on my blog at degenhartfamily.com while I'm there. Stay tuned

Is it also a coincidence that the "Gay Street" (actual street) was considered as a site for the U.S. Nationals?

Ryan,
I dont have any pics of that thing. I will take one and post it next time I am otu there. Havent been there since June. the foot is healing up pretty good. Hurts like a mother when I walk and after.
I am on track for a one to two year recovery. Joe, I dont know why the slalom races and gays are attracted to the same parks. Coincidence?

OK, so I heard from a friend who will remain nameless, but his intials are N. O. A. H., that Hobby Park has been having a homosexual liason problem. Am I remembering that the Soapbox hill in Columbus had the same? Didn't JBH or Claude get a handy there from somebody a couple years ago?
So what the funk is going on? Its a whole chicken & egg thing isn't it. Are skaters attracted to desolate areas? Are the "Avalon smugglers" attracted to butter smooth ass-phalt? Is there some cross promotion we could do here to attract more riders? "Come take a wide stance for some head to head action!"
Somebody tell Tway to stay out of the bushes on Shady lane.
