i was also going to ask for some clarity. is the slalom a ukssa event within the greater longleat thing (like bude), or is longleat putting on some slalom and we (indeed anyone) can come along (provided you're invited) therefore entry fee goes to them and not ukssa?

aye longy thats the peak of the big bass season over the manacles. driftlining live launce or even better DT5-6 fly gear with a fast sinking line and a 3/0 chartreuse and white clouser minnow. usually the waters so clear you can see all the shipwrecks stacked up on top of each other in over 20 fathoms. We finish winter layup on HMS Top Ship in a week and have an outhaul mooring on the Helford river so if yer fancy a seafood weekend anytime let me know i'll eat bloody anything that swims or scuttles i tell ya.

I wasn't over impressed with the "invitation only" tagline either...i kind of thought, seeing that its listed as an UKSSA event,as part of the UKSSA Series, entry would be open to UKSSA members initially, then fill the field with Downhillers & lugers who fancy a bash at slalom....not saying that downhillers/lugers aren't competant slalom racers, many are in fact....only i would have like priority given to the Slalom Rank & file first. the guys that turn up at HP every week, the guys that go to epic, the few that slalom in Cornwall...the guys that BUY THE GEAR!!
And Super Giant Slalom....whats all that about!!...the last time SGS was mentioned in these forums, the impression was given that Leathers and stuff would be required.....why not have just a GS/Hybrid and keep the speeds sensible so regular pads n helmets can be worn

I would like to make it known that myself and event manager Caleb Clark are no longer involved in this event. I was ripped off for many weeks work and caleb quite simply hasnt got the time to deal with idiots. We do not feel that the promoter is capable of running an event to Longleats high standards as he has absolutely no experience and is not being completely truthful with Longleats staff. We feel that this is likely to result in the event foundering and eliminating any possibility of a true racing event at Longleat at any point in the future. I take no pleasure in posting this and wish any of you who get involved in this event the best of luck. You'll need it

The Longleat URL doesn't need that question mark.
This website really needs an edit facility. Either that or you lot need to go back to school and lern two spel and punktwate proper like.

Hi Ed
Nice to hear from you! Yes, I think I will be skating but not until I am a Dad!! Although I will be without a doubt at Epic and Brands!! We hope your good family are all well and yes I would love anything you can muster up about skating on DVD. We have a couple of videos from Epic and Brands (Epic really funny!) which if you want to borrow for your projects let me know and I'll forward them on to you.
Anyway, take care mate and speak soon, Leon.

Leon, how are you and Lucy? Is everything O.K with lucy? Are you going to Gruenigen? Oops, I forgot it's only weeks before 7th July.
I'm looking forward to warmer weather, sunnier days and some slalom. I've bought a new computer with a real good capture card, editing facilities and DVD burner. I've burnt 1 skate disc so far which is of Gruenigen from last June. I'm now working on Bude, Hayle and a bit of Eastbourne, Brighton, Hyde Park and Crystal palace thrown in for good measure. Any way when ready they will be going for a very reasonable price. If you were to require one on a cdr instead that can be arranged. If you have anything on vhs video that you want transferred to DVD, (Skate related only please?) please leave a post.
