Feel free to update your membership on Tuesday but I will not have all shirts. I tested the kids ones on Chloe and Milo and they are enormous so I am re-ordering kids size shirts. I think they are fine for 10 +. Let me know any kids ages. It is OK for thjose who have specified a size.
Remind me if I forget to add any membership details. If possible a cheque is better as I wont spent it on booze. Mogg you've got Lucky 13
See you
Chris

Right. Tuesday it is. For those of you with recent history (Michael, Clingfilm, Mog & Jonathan), I suggest the basement of Covent Garden's Punch & Judy, 6:15pm. It's a haven for ale specialists (cheap & bitter) and sometimes (rarely) pavement demos. I'll bring a proper bike-lock this time (my insurance won't provide the insane number that Smokestack seems to be riding ...killer vessel)! ...and I know that Dan G (Seismic/3dm) knows the potato-stand above...
Ed, top call on the hotel front in Switzerland, thanks. As regards a DVD, I'll slip you a cockle. Errr... maybe cash will do.

Tuesday night would be much better for me as Wednesday night is Brownies (not Me you understand) and Thursday night is Dance night.
So who is up for Tuesday next week instead?
Edwin
P.S. I have copies of Gruningen 2003 (45 mins) on one DVD and Summer Skating (Bude, Downhill Classic, Hayle, Hyde Park, Crystal palace, Brands Hatch September Comp and Brighton, everyone is on this DVD, 45mins)on another. In the next few days I'm going to edit Brands Hatch June 2003. I'll do all three DVD's for a tenner.

That's more like it! Michael's idea of free qualifying seems a good idea. I think that way you'd encourage more skaters like myself at "novice" standard. Encouraging new blood can only advantage yourselves as it'll give you more competition, make it more interestingand could well help in getting more events organised. As for the indoor venue, the warehouse was "discovered" by a group of local kids. We got to hear about it at our local skatepa and duly went to check it out. We parked a good distance so as not to attract any attention, and after walking round the building for a bit, found a way in. It was quite dark and seemed empty. Once your eyes became accustomed to the light you could make out shadows. All of a sudden a little voice said " it's alright it's ***** and ***** " There must of been 50 kids in there! It was fantastic! A cold, wet Saturday afternoon in November. They'd built a real "ghetto" ramp and some fly-offs, and were having a ball. The next week we went back with brooms and tools and helped them fix the place up a bit. That day saw the first "bust" We heard an "Oi!" and about 4 security gaurds came in. The kids looked at us, the gaurds looked at us and we ought thought "Oh s***" They asked us what we were doing and told us that they'd been hired by the owners of the building to keep an eye on things. We explained what we were up to and sat there bemused and watched the tearing about for about an hour! The bet thing was when it got dark they put the bloody lights on for us! They were really freindly and told us as long as we kept it to ourselves and nothing untoward happened and no one got hurt, they were'nt really that bothered! Some of us who are fortunate enough to work shifts, even managed to get down there during the week and a freind of mine who is really into slalom bought his set-up and cones. At one point we even had an impromptu start-gate type thingy, and we had a ball. About 3 weeks ago, a gang of townie kids got in there and picked a fight with some of the younger skaters which involved with someone getting quite seriously hurt. The police were called, and the upshot is it got closed down. The security guys have let us back in during the week (just 2 of us) but obviously anything that was built by the skaters has now gone, and the "mood" isn't quite as jolly. I think it proves a couple of things, skaters, when left alone, are self policed, skater are resourceful, and most importantly there is a dire need for a decent indoor facility in the London area that caters for ALL factions of Skateboarding. In California they barge pools, in Essex we crash warehouses! I'm not too sure if the people who own the place would stand for any kind of "event" maybe some of you industry types could blow in the ear of the developer, maybe they let us do some kind of "one off" who knows? I can get their details off the hoarding outside. Contact me through the normal channels.
