I'm with NCL.
I think that an Abec 11 (or Liquid) truck bushing is a natural product idea for you.
Many of the skaters who buy Abec 11 wheels are also looking to buy Tracker Stimulator truck bushings. I guess stims are out of production now and very hard to find. Apparently green (and maybe yellow) stims had the perfect combo of great urethane, great shape and just the right durometer.
Everyone knows that Abec 11 has the best urethane, so it would be great if you made truck bushings. Heck you need to make or buy them for the up coming Liquid trucks anyway, right?
There is a fair amount of competition in the bushing market but no one seems to have quite matched the original Tracker Stimulator. Apparently Tracker can't or won't reproduce and reintroduce them.
Chris what do you think?

76mm Flywheels and 66mm Strikers

Hey Guys, Sorry I've been away for so long. The tooling is done for both the 76mm Flywheels and the 66mm Strikers. As a matter of fact, I have some of the 76mm Flywheel prototypes on a 45" MasterCarve deck with R-IIB trucks and it's a pretty sweet combo. That's the good news.
The bad news is that it is already November and sales tend to drop as fast as the temperature in many parts of the world. It's hard to stock every wheel in every durometer and right now, I don't have any of the 66mm Strikers just yet. I'm doing the best that I can to get everything out there, but it takes lots of green to make lots of green, if you catch my drift. I hope to have at least small quantities of everything before the year end. Preorders anyone?
On a different subject, my parents just brought out the sidecar from Colorado and I got the leading-link front forks from the UK earlier this week. I've removed the sidecar from the chassis, where I'll be mounting a platform and fender for camera work. I'm also adding heavy-duty suspension, a low CG tire and steering dampening for better performance. It should be ready to rock and roll by next week. Weather permitting, I'd like to try to video some downhillers who are drafting a cameraman positioned over the tire and fender. Nothing to fast and no turns at first. We'll get more daring as the skill and trust level increase over time. Should be fun.

I would like to share. If you are going to fast to stop and a luger or car does something you where not ready for, this is what you do.! always look way ahead and look at what the movements ahead of you are doing. That luger that put his feet down and the skater had to hit the rail.I did do that alot with waldo, not hit the rail or anything but because I knew him I always looked for him to do something out of the norm so I always as roofing would be looking for a way out at all times. If you skate a hill alot you should know it well and can slit hairs to get by a rider, car or luger. If riding with others you will see a foot move or a hand get tight or his or her head move. You can pull your arms out alittle or alot to slow to react with out losing to much speed, dont stand-up. The lower you are to the ground the easyer it is to move or even jump off the board befoure you get close to hiting something.I know I have to much time on my hands now but it sure is fun typing it.Draft and pass next time unless chris beats me to it, see we are still racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

kenny, dont forget a full-face helmet and some leathers bro! i know you were rippin it at vail considering that was your first dh ever, but that course was very tame, spandex and pads wont do much at 55+ mph.
i know www.beyondbikes.com had some nice aero full-face helmets for cheap. as for leathers, ebay works but it takes some searchin, i got mine off of www.newenough.com, make sure they are nice and tight, just like spandex. if you want to go all out contact the guys at njk leathers, they make the custom suits that many of the pros use, they start around 800 bones.

randall II and risers

Hi kenny,
Try and not use risers with your randalls whenever possible. Don't use any on the john caften.
A set of gumballs 78a would be a nice all around wheel for your john caften model.
You might consider buying a longer kingpin and a set of blue/black randall bushings, they will fit your weight better, since you're riding radikal trucks, you might also consider putting radikal bushings with a longer kingpin, that would work well too.
If you come to paris for the slalom cup, be sure to bring your board along and come see me, we'll take you out on some of our hills.

for the randals get a 2.75" grade 8 kingpin. for downhill bushings you want something low rebound (this i swhat ive haerd) i use a green stim on the bottom and red stim on the top when i do downhill but if this is an all race baord im sure there are much better combonations. im sure your going to be told to ride abec 11 wheels sence chris chaput makes them. for the caften you dont need any risers if you dont want. a thin riser will smooth out the ride a little. all the bushings and stuff are available from milehighskates.com

Mounting Randall Trucks

Hey Chris- I was the only guy in Vail riding Indy's in the downhill, so I bought some Randall 180's. Here are my questions.
Should I use the thinnest riser possible on a regular (not drop) board?
Should I use risers at all on Kebbek board. Its the Jon Caften model. The front little drop down deal is at an angle. Word? Is that so I dont need to use an angle riser?
Should I replace the Kingpin before using these? Do the stock ones suck?
Are the stock bushings any good? If not what do you replace them with?
Finally, any suggestions on what brand of wheels to use? I know there is a ton of really good stuff out there? All the downhill wheels are pretty much the same aren't they? Seriously, I would like your imput on these questions and I will be calling Elizabeth soon to outfit my two new downhill boards. Thanks.

Hi Chris!
Did you hear about the new Internet trend called Podcasting? Please, look at the article from NYTIMES (Click here for link) to get the details. It's a really cool new technology. In short it's radio (.mp3) directly downloaded to your computer (or mp3player).
I'd really appreciate if I got a weekly show from you. And I think almost every skateboard in the world would like to hear your thoughs and advices.
To get a feeling download the "Daily Source Code" show from Adam Curry at Click here for link.
