hey dave, you know where the circus will open its doors next year?
which part of the world will it be?
somewhere in europe?
a place with a big f7746463523'n skatepark called the cradle?
is that where the BADDEST park race ever is gonna be held?
is that the place where old against young is gonna happen? where USA vs. EUROPE happens for the first time in a skatepark?
do they really have that ultralong gs course, which leads into the valley?
they gonna call it the world-championships for 2006?
you know the deal-join me and we make dreams come alive for the first time ever.
time for talk is over. i'm there and i'm gonna make it happen. see me backing up my big mouth with actions.
july 21st-23rd next year brixlegg,austria.
waiting for a holla from your side

we had a killer "old is cool" showdown at the skate park of athens last night
jimmy leaphart from south carolina just happened to show up and killed it in the longest carve and highest air, but local boy quint lumpkin showed us how it was done in the park slalom
marty schaub set up a slolam course in the parking lot that at one point had over half a dozen new schoolers giving it a try (note to the slolam community, if you want to "grow the sport", try hanging out with other skateboarders instead of setting up "practice" courses on difficult hills in remote locations)
we'll be running park slalom every weekend over the fall, show up and blow up
olson? he's cool, ask him to pass the cheetos

Olson is the real deal- no exaggeration- it's all real.
He has more attachment to skateboarding than ANYONE else- and he backs it up.
It's no myth-

its what you make out of it-in your own little i-net world.
some guys are lame they forget their name
so no use for posting when you can't stand behind what you say with your full name
always was always will be the #1 rule
olson famous?
for some maybe for others no
depends on the view and your "view of the world"
he's just a dirty old man
on all that dirt you see the past and he's living the now
olson did and does reflect a different lifestyle than most of you did/do.
maybe that's what really makes him "famous"
he's doing things, living a life, nobody of the more settled people never did/do because it would only lead into trouble.
that's a description of fame,eh?

Confused, I don't believe Olson's getting his ego stroked by a bunch of old guys". I don't know, but I do know two young skaters, 10 and 12 (and actually lots of other young individuals), that are COMPLETELY stoked on Olson and the rest of the BLR crew. He/they don't need the old guys to bask, he/they have a whole new crowd of followers.
Niether do I know about "Olson bragging about a nonexistent hot blond to excite all the suburban married guys who live vicariously through the Steve Olson myth" I have a feeling if he says he has a hot blonde or two at his beckoning call he probably does and if he aint getting them on his own he has a boy that is more than capable of getting them for him.
I knew nothing of Olson as a kid or as an adult until I meet him 2 1/2 years ago and my Boyz told me who he was. Olson and BLR are the best.
Legends never die and never cease to be cool. they just keep FSU

We're not a bunch of old guys who are trying to re-live the old days, we're trying to put together the best racers in the world for two days of racing action, where only the times matter. The only way that we can insure were having a world class race is to make sure we do whatever we can to get the best in the world here. Look at the sign up list and you'll see. We want to bring skateboarding to the forefront in our "poe'dunk hillbilly town" and shove it down their necks. How could we claim that we did our best unless we tryed to get these guys to come.

Olson, Are you here just to get your ego stroked by a bunch of old guys basking in your glory from 1979? Are there still women out there who will let you f#@! them based simply on the fact that you were famous 25 years ago? And they're attractive? I need proof.

Hey Steve,
Scott here, I am an old acquaintance from the Concrete Wave days. My mom’s boyfriend, (now my step dad) managed “The Wave” back then (when your bro Bucky worked there). We spoke and hung a few times (talked skiing and skis if you can believe it?). It was right before you went big and became a skate legend (can you say “The Man”). Just starting to get back into the skate game having been living in Vail, Co(and out of the loop) for quite a few years (man are we old). I was way into chasing gates (or cones) back then and am stoked to see the revival of road racing now (still have my Road Rider/Santa Cruz hat from The Catalina Classic - Allen Seymour lives!). Just another blast from the past, hope life is treating you well.
Peace, Out,
Scott

Heres the low down... The only race that's "closed out" is the stateville race (head to head tight slalom) on saturday. We had to limit the field because of time. There will be a friday night outlaw race at a place called camper world. A lot of the guys are staying at the best western motel, the run out from the course is about 300yds away. On Sunday were having a GS on the soap box derby hill at hobby park, followed by a unlimited push downhill race. I can't say for sure that you'll have a spot for the race on Saturday BUT we expect that not all who are signed up will pay in full by the Oct. 13th deadline. Some spaces should come open. There will be an after party on saturday night with some good ol' hillbilly bbq, street ramps in the parking lot and punk rock on the patio. I speek for several of the downhillbillies when I say it would be the s#@! if you guys showed up. If money is tight after the flight, we can find a place for you guys to crash. We would luv to see black leather racing show up and blow up.
