We like to keep a few Pavels 'off the shelf' in the UK, courtesy of Donald, and we match the Euro price, so you can either order custom from Pavel OR get your fix immediatley. We rarely put the stock on the shop, because they tend to sell by themselves....most of what i brought back from Holland has gawn, gawn gaaawwwnnn.
But these are ready for use, right now:

Winging their way to us, we have limited stocks of Orangatangs and For President wheels in Orange and urple (new!)
As usual with new products we like to initially buy a few sets, put them out there under the feet of riders at a VERY special price, before committing to larger orders.
Ive had good feedback on the Orangatangs (75mm 80a) and 4 Presidents (70mm, 80 a and 83a) so far but nothing beats testing under UK conditions.
Should be here in under a week.
And yes....that is how THEY spell Orangutang.

Is there a reason why Tom Sims, Powerflex or the guys at Kryptonics have not released any reissues of the classic decks or wheels? As we all know the current Alva, G&S, and Z-Flex reissues as well as the new BDS and SMA decks move like hot cakes. Boy I would sure love to feel a new Sims Deck with Snakes or old style C65 Kryptonics.

I might be wrong but I think it was Rick Fitzpatrick who had a demo version of that movable riserpad at Paris world cup this year. It looked nice and it was to be released 'soon' by then - May.

they were made to fit a variety of hole patterns, on that board it looks like there is a slight adjustment, but on a makaha board they use the other set of slots(visable on the right) there is a full range of adjustment. I never thought you copied tthe idea but i couldn't help but point out the possible short comings, the very basic idea is similar. I also mentioned that their reason for having a variable truck placement is totally different,i think they were looking to adjust the way the board felt on kickturns and nosewheelies.

After looking at the pictures of the truck I just don't understand why they have the slot, its just on one side of the truck so you really can't use it to move the truck around. The only thing it does is to make the truck fit boards that have different drillings. Whats the purpose.
I recommend using both a 161 infinity AND and GOG to have all posibilities...

that lovely old gt,and what exactly the function of a variable wheelbase was on that kind of board. Then i realized(possibly) that what they were varying was not so much the wheelbase but the length of the nose/tail and how it kickturns. Also back to the modern slalom thing,in a situation where you might want to decrease your turning radius just a bit what would be the diffence between shortening your wheelbase or steepening your turning radius, lets say you had a 161 infinity with a set of gog's bolted on there.

Ok since I was only 4 years old 1977 I haven't seen the freeformer but would love to see some pics. Perhaps the grooves in the board is also an old idea, but Í guess someone would have told us by now.
The grooves are really not that technically advanced, it is a reinforced area around the truck with a hard but durable material so hopefully it will last at least a few seasons of racing. I have never been one of those who tightens the truck screws through the board and still have never had problems with a loose truck so I don't think there is a need for any interlocking. If you think it will slide I suggest that you use a thin rubber riser pad closest to the board.
Most racers today uses a toe stopper making 2, 3 or all 4 screws being in the stopper and never actually wearing the board.
When talking to boardmakers at the worlds it seemed just like minutes before others would release their similar models. We'll see about that.

fantastic ,congratulations on winning, way to go. I was actually wondering if there was anything really different that's not visible in the pic, anything like special risers that interlock with the grooves. Adjustable wheelbase is a very classic/old idea, it dates back to freeformer trucks(1977 or so)possibly earlier, they had that kind of slots in the baseplate of similar appearence.

One of my customers carried his deck into the shop in a very unique bag a couple of weeks ago. I mentioned how much I liked it and the next thing I know he starts showing up with several Skate Bags, including the "$kate $ack" pictured here. It also features a velcro pocket for stashing tools, extra wheels, bushings, etc. etc. If you'd like to see some of his other designs or are interested in purchasing one for yourself (reasonably priced) contact me at the email address above or give me a call at the shop between 11am - 8pm Eastern.

Currently there are 8 different designs available, everything from the "Rising Sun" to "Flaming Hemp".
