I've asked Adam to remove my first time and update with the one I made at our last Pirate race, where we take time to set up a perfect cyber race
update is 8.927
Allan's time on this day was 8.373

Head to head cyber - a race for the middle cone, no timer needed, only the cojones to skate a straight line.
RIGHT ON SPENCER with the PR! - "the kid" has been steadily improving all winter
Pressure switch update: kinda working, but right now kinda not. Seems like the tubes need a release valve because when there's pressure in the tube the switch is always "on", still tinkering...

hmm, interesting, i thought there would be some 'corrections' on the cyber rankings, considering the discussion below? not that anyone with the luxury of dry climate and practicing on "real hills" in winter really cares about this stuff!!
we're testing these pressure tubes over the winter as tape switches with Tway timers, and they're working great!
not sure if they would be able to replace the official tape switches but we'll keep testing and know by next spring.

In my opinion, cyber slalom should stay "cyber"...
I mean, it may not be very interesting ( for competitors and spectators ) during a world cup or a european championship ?!
We have all the time during the "dead season" to practice cyber !!!

ok I agree with removing my time from cyber ranking.
We will try to do it in a "professional" way, checking a perfect cone distance and do it both way. Then we will post new times.
see you in Grenoble

Hit the forums here to ask the pertinent surf questions. It's 4 hours from Statesville to the coast. We've had some good waves in the last month around Carolina Beach, and a little farther North. http://www.wblivesurf.com/

Google 'surf' and 'North Carolina' and you will see.
I tried cyber surfing once, but it washed away my chalk marks too easily. And the push start was a real b*tch.

Those are some very fast times! Are people pushing, pumping, or a combination of both? The world record for the mile run is something like 3:43.

Michael, It´s 3 weekends apart. The Euros are the8-9 of september and the world 27-30. From what I can see september will offer a race every weekend in Europe up till the Worlds in NC.
I have heard there is surf in NC? can someone confirm that information please.

Ncdsa will consider all requests from potential event organizers who are willing to put forth a proper effort to organize and run the next Cyber Slalom Cup event. We'll even put up the cash to get medals made up like in 2005. Email me if you want to be that organizer!

Peter,
The one to give the ok on where the Cyberslalom Cup can be held is the webmaster himself - Adam N.. I'd say off the top of my head that Grenoble would be a great place to hold it. How many days apart is Grenoble from the World Championships?

Mr Micheal Dong, what do think of running a or the Cyber Challange in Grenoble? The place is flat, everybody in Urope will be there and the french can get two guys on the podium. Should be a perfect time to get sub 8 for you and Mr Allan.
Is it ok the run it?
Yours fastest PK
