Friday: 24th meet and greet

Saturday: 25th: Starts at 9:00am. - Mooney's Bay Beach - we have the bike path for some single lane racing. We will run 2 maybe 3 courses along the path. The morning we will set a beginner course running in one direction and a couple of advanced courses in the other. I have aquired a very nice road from 1:00 in the afternoon this will be very fast and likely a short course (same location)(right beside Terry Fox Facilty, 2960 Riverside Dr.).

Sunday: 26th: Kanata Skatepark/Kanata Recreation Complex 100 Walter Baker.(unopened access road) Directions 417/Queesnway -Exit, Terry Fox South - Starts at 9:00 am. We will set some beginner courses and also some intermediate/advanced courses. This location will be for dual racing format.

No start Ramps. Timming - Stopwatches (so if you own one bring it).

I'm thinking about recording a few of each riders best runs on each day on each course and pull some average figures out. Divisions to be determined.

Accommodations: Insurance has put a halt on the free accomodations at a local Club. So all the guys from out of town are welcome to crash at my place. Mary-Beth is having Mia and Steph stay with her.

Note - Everyone _Please e-mail me.
1. Let me know if your staying with me.
2. If you have a stopwatch.
3. If you want to share a hotel room with someone.
4. My computer crashed on Friday and I don't have time to remove the dots for my mailing list.

A big "Thank You" for support from the City of Ottawa!

What started with a practice session is turning into a bigger and better Event then I thought. How Big? I'm not sure! Ask me when it's over.

It's over and it was great. We ended up with the original plan of some practice and coaching being the main purpose of the get together. The rain caused us to be a smaller group then it would have been otherwise. Next years series will be simply fantastic. We wil add some alternate locations in case of rain.

1st Place Finisher: Slalom
2nd Place Finisher: Canada
3rd Place Finisher: GRS Worldwide
Overall Results: The actual event was rained out. We had some great dual racing in a covered car parking garage.

2004 Canadian events are being planned and growth is only a little work away.

Everyone who came was a winner. Anyone that becomes part of GRS in the years to come will reap the benefits of the First Canadian Slalom Gathering of 2003 held on Ottawa.
