The La Costa Open is BACK for 2004!!!
Ladies and Gentlemen this is it. Due to massive residential develoment in the area, the City of Carlsbad will never let us close this road for a race again. This will be the last La Costa Open on the legendary EL FUERTE STREET. Don't miss out!!

In addition, this race is a point race for the American Cup Slalom Series.

Saturday July 24th will be Giant Slalom.

Racing on both days will start early and promptly as we plan on offering and allowing for Grudge Matches Saturday afternoon. If time permits on Sunday afternoon there will be Longboard Slalom on Ed Economy Longboards.

If you have a SPA-USA skatepark ID, plz bring it and present it during registration.

As another value added feature, David Anderson of Sk8 Supply will be hosting one of his famous "Skater-Trader" events on Sat the 24th. There will be loads of rare and Vintage sk8's for you to view, trade for, or buy. You can bring your own Vintage gear to show off, trade or sell.

At a location to be announced later, there will be a slide show on Sat Night featuring the Gordon & Smith and Fibreflex archives as well as many more of the photograph's that you saw in the pages of Skateboarder mag back in the '70's.
