General Race Information:

- Race Director/Organizers reserve the right to modify these rules and schedule if needed.

- TOTAL PRIZE MONEY - Estimated at $9,300.00 - $10,800.00 ACTUAL!!!

Race-Specific Rules
• Racers will not be allowed to race if payment has not been received and a liability waiver has been signed.
• Equipment: “Skateboards” allowed. (No restrictions as to # of wheels, etc).
• A helmet, kneepads and elbow pads are required at all times. Wrist guards or gloves are recommended.
• Lifting of front wheels over start switch: Don’t do it. DQ for that run if you are caught.
• Problems, questions, requests for re-runs, protests, etc: Bring these to the attention of the head cone-judge, the race organizer (Gareth Roe), or the official timer.
• Results will be printed at the end of each round and competitors have at least 15 minutes until the start of the next round. Once the next round starts, there will be no further opportunity to correct any cone-counts, DQ’s or other past results.

• Race Director/Organizers reserve the right to modify these rules and schedule if needed.

Friday July 18th
Super Giant Slalom: - Mosier Entrance to Scenic Highway – same place as the last 4 years! Be prepared to pay small fee for parking in Forest Service Parking Lot.

Practice starts at 8:30AM / Racing Starts at 10:00AM
• Three runs per competitor.
• Single best time on the course counts for final placing
• Individual-start timing system (timer starts when racer goes over start switch).
• Cone penalty and maximum number of cones before a DQ will be announced at racers meeting.

Saturday July 19th
Dual Hybrid / Dual Tight Slalom
Columbia Street – Downtown Hood River right in front of Full Sail Brewery!.

NOTE: We will be running qualifying and the preliminary heats down to the round of 8 for both the Hybrid and Tight on Saturday. This will require a great deal of cooperation from the racers and support staff.

Pratice: 8:00AM
Qualifying - Tight Slalom: 9:00AM
Qualifying - Hybrid Slalom: As soon as Tight qualifying is completed
Racing -Hybrid Slalom: As soon as qualifying is completed
Racing – Tight Slalom: As soon as racing for the Hybrid is completed

• GENERAL RULES (You know the drill!):
- Dual lane, single elimination rounds.
- Common-start timing system (timer starts on the “GO” tone).
- 2X false-start penalty (if you start 0.2 s early, we add 0.4s to your time).

• QUALIFYING

• HEAD-TO-HEAD:
- Each racer runs once in the red lane, once in the white lane.
- Time is the sum of both runs.
- Common-start timing system (timer starts on the “GO” tone).
- DQ penalty is 1.5 seconds (added to the other racer’s time)
- Racers eliminated in the same bracket will be sorted by qualification time for final placing.
- Qualifying times will determine racer’s final placing for those eliminated in the same round.


Sunday July 20th
Finals for Dual Hybrid / Dual Tight Slalom
Location: Oak Street – Downtown Hood River.

NOTE: We will be running heats from the round of 8 down to the winners for BOTH the Hybrid and Tight on Sunday. We have a 4-hour time window to run all of these heats. This will require a great deal of cooperation from the racers and support staff. We need to be off of the hill at 2:00PM!
