Contest Info: ...more sponsors coming including Fishtale Brewpub and Olympia Coffee Roasters Co. THE FIRST EVER "OLY ROLLY", skateboard pusher race. Meet at The Evergreen State College on Red Square. Park in B or C lot and meet on Red Square for registration at 8:30AM. Directions to Evergreen: From I-5 North or South -take highway 101 exit -follow 101 for a couple miles -take Evergreen Parkway NW Exit towards Evergreen -when you get to the first roundabout take a left -park, and meet at Red Square Click here for link Click here for link Before the actual race we will do a freeride from the top of the campus to the bottom. We will then meet back at Red Square for the start. The race starts at Evergreen, loops around the Cedrona suburban neighborhood, goes back through Evergreen Campus, then you get on a bike path to McLane Elementary school. We will have our awards raffle at the finish line near McLane Elementary School. Before the race, you can put anything you want at the finish line into a car that will be there when you finish (examples - slide gloves, camera, different board set-up). There will be a couple of shuttle cars and bikes to get back to Evergreen after the race and awards, or you can just ride your board back. This race is 5 miles. The "terrain" consists of campus sidewalks and brick plazas, smooth residential streets, bike paths through beautiful Evergreen forests, and ends with a winding downhill with a final technical right hand corner. The race will cross a couple roads and one highway on-ramp (with a cross-walk of course), so look both ways and use caution. The whole race will be marked with signs and chalk. It will be hard to get lost, but pay attention! Here's a map of the race course - After the race, raffle for racers! session! Beer!
