Atlanta-Rockmart-Weaver



TRAVEL INFO: The race starts and ends in Atlanta, Georgia so that is the city you need to fly to to get here. Racers will need to arrive on Thursday, May 10th, because racers gather at the staging area from 8-9 a.m. on the 11th, then skate down to the trailhead for a prompt 10 a.m. kickoff. Come early -- don't get left in the dust!

LODGING: There will be places / shelter to sleep both at the end of Day 1 and Day 2 in Rockmart and Weaver (for free) but there will also be discounted hotel rates in both towns.

DETAILS AND LOGISTICS

Will continue to post as more comes in from Marion.

- Day 1 Feed Station is at the 20 mile mark only.

- Day 2 Feed Stations are at Cedartown Depot and Eubanks Welcome Center in Piedmont Alabama

- Day 3: Eubanks Welcome Center/Piedmont, Al, Cedartown Depot, downtown Rockmart (finish line for day 1 and start of day 2), 20 mile marker (Feed Station location day 1) and one approximately at 10 mile marker.

SHUTTLES will be provided at Rockmart for end of Day 1 and beginning of Day 2 (you are on your own to get to start of Day 1), Shuttles will be provided in Weaver, Al at end of Day 2 and Start of Day 3.

ALL personal gear will be transported by a volunteer in a rental truck this year and will be available at end of Day 1, end of Day 2, and end of Day 3.

End of Day 1 The City of Rockmart Community Center...showers, A/C, etc. Also will have hotel rates local.
