The Rush 2012
The UKSSA have once again been invited back to Brands Hatch by Glen Horncastle and his team at Time Attack and Modified Live (see http://www.timeattack.co.uk/ for details) They liked what they saw last year and so we’re back to race on the GP loop while their event takes place on the Indy Circuit.
The Rush 2012 will be taking place on Sunday 8th July – unlike last year we only have the track for one day so given the allotted time I am conscious that we manage expectations, so rather than try to cram too much in I want to keep things simple. Therefore UKSSA will be running the GS as the main “Rush” event, this will run down from Derek Minter Straight to Hawthorn Bend as last year. We will also run some additional fun “gauntlet style” dual hybrid races as well as a 100 cone challenge on Hawthorn Hill. I hope to get another two day event laid on later in the coming months where we can stage a full weekend race schedule and obtain ISSA Prime status - the British Championships possibly? - anyway more news on that as it comes.

While we are racing on the Hawthorn side of the track Jamie Tharp and the Dangerous Decks crew along with London Longboards will be running various workshops/clinics as well as slide competitions etc. over on Dingle Dell. If you have not previously experienced the thrill of racing or riding at Brands Hatch here is your ideal opportunity to do just that.
Camping is available to us on Saturday night at a cost of £15 per head; we may have our own spot near our race site rather than in the main “petrol-heads” campsite over the other side of the track as last year but this is dependant on the number of campers? If you are camping you can arrive from 5.00pm on Saturday afternoon. Be warned though it may be busy around this time, traffic will be exiting from the days racing.

IMPORTANT PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! Owing to the nature of the event and ticketing places are limited to 90 riders therefore your payment will need to be made at the time you sign up to guarantee your place. We will only take your payment on the day if you have made prior arrangements to do so and don’t have access to PayPal. To ensure sufficient time to get tickets and camping passes sent out to all riders the sign-up will close on 22nd June 2012. Please note: Once sign up closes it will not be possible to make any changes to the entry list, you have been warned.
In order for us send you tickets we will need your address! You should also be sure to give your correct e-mail address as you will be sent information on the event.

For those not wishing to camp on Saturday night there are a number of hotels nearby however these tend to get booked up when there are motor sports on at Brands Hatch.
