Map: Click here for online map Entry Fee: 85.00 Contest Info: The world’s fastest amateur and professional slalom skateboarders will again roll into town in September for the 10th Annual Poage Landing Days Southern Fried Cone Fest (Cone Fest X for short) – with one major twist. This year, Cone Fest will also be the World Championships of Slalom Skateboarding, as sanctioned by the International Slalom Skateboarding Association (ISSA). The race, now a staple of both the Poage Landing Days Festival and the ISSA’s racing circuit, has grown larger and more respected each year, which led to it being awarded World Championship status. This brings the best racers from around the world to Ashland for the three-day event. Conefest has been a part of Poage Landing Days Festival in beautiful downtown Ashland Kentucky for the past decade. Combined with local foods and entertainment the event has brought in tons of racers to take advantage of the natural surroundings and culture Ashland has to offer. OUR GS HILL For Tight and Hybrid Slalom: ALL RACERS will have 2 qualifying runs with their best time dictating their ranking. Organizers will then bracket the Top 16 Ams, Pros, Women, Masters, and Juniors to race head-to-head in order to give us definitive World Champions in each class. If time and weather permit, B and C Class racers will then race head-to-head. If time and/or weather do NOT permit, B and C class winners will be based on their best qualifying time and Cone Fest X awards will be given to the winners. For Giant Slalom: Amatuer racers will self-declare their class. All Pros and A Class racers will start from the top of Ramey Street using the start ramp. B Class racers will start lower on the hill and use the start ramp.
