Sign Up Online!new!

Format: Giant Slalom

Single Course, Electronically Timed

60 Cones (approx.)

Practice: 10AM until 12PM (untimed)

Race: 12PM until 6PM. We will attempt to run a minimum of 4 timed runs per racer with best two runs per racer combined to calculate the finish order. If the number of racers allows we will try to allow a greater number of timed runs but any such increase will be announced in advance of the beginning of the timed runs.

Start: The race will start in a marked box approximately 15 feet from front to back. The board must stay in the box during the start and both feet must be on the board prior to exiting the start box. The start wand will be 2-3 feet in front of the box. The racer will start at will and time will begin at the activation of the wand.

Course: The course will be a mixture of offset and straight cones with the offsets being significantly off the fall line. The tightest allowable cone spacing will be 6 feet center to center.

Surface: The course will be laid on asphalt which is in good but not excellent condition. It is similar in texture to Morro Bay but the street is steeper, with some patching. A grip vs. speed wheel choice will be necessary.

Finish: The finish will be IR eye set at approximately ankle height with a not very steep downhill runout.

Safety : Helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, and shoes are all required to race!

Entry Fee: $20 (Up from $10, but still affordable! We had to purchase spectator insurance.)

Cash Prize: Winner (in the main event) takes all pot, amount tbd.
