Yesterday, while trying to burt slide, my board got away from me, shot off and slammed its nose against a curb. The nose is now relatively shattered, and the bottom ply has split to the front truck, with a piece coming off partially. It's kind of hard to explain, but what would be the best way to fix it (aesthetically, functionally, or both)?

i just ordered the kebbek hairpin. when i mount the trucks, it requires the nut of the truck hardware to dig into the board's underside. is there anything i can put to make it so that the wood doesn't get damaged by the pressure of tightening the nut? washers? spacers? something that will keep it even.
any help would be much apreciated

Hi PSR, thanks for the props, but the board was/is the result of input by a lot of people from what I understand. And now having ridden it, some of them ,like myself ,are now going off in different design directions prompted by this excellent deck! My next custom foam core will most likely be an updating of my '05 Morro board using the front half of that combined with the back half of the CK30.I have even toyed with the idea of nicknaming it the "CK-ONE" as it will be my number one perfect TS board! When Adam gets one, drop me an e-mail and I'll tell you everything that I worked out from riding it. Oh, and as another father limited on funds...just sell some of your old stuff, get them to Paypal you, and use that account for new kit. Explain that its like recycling, its not like you ever had the money in your hands, right? Say Hi to the little punk Adam for me, good luck with the Twins! Martin.

Looking good, Martin! By the way, the Ditch Killer you sold me LOVES Kona! It doesn't steer as tight as a slalom deck, of course, but it does well. I have the custom Subsonic for tighter banked courses. I finally upgraded to Radikals. Seriously considering a 36" PPS foamcore next. Have fun over there!

The CK-30 is very much what I'd been asking of Roe the last year or so, Schwippy being very persuasive about 'what flys' underfoot. I had shown him some pics that Martin had posted up awhile back from Utah, and then we sent a note with descriptions of what's wanted out to Roe. It's been uncanny how what Adam's seen, I've been able (crudely, very crudely) bandsaw out from old deck blanks (usually to check truck/foot placements); and what Martin's already been playing with for awhile now. I make no claim on any one idea that's inclusive to the CK, It's all Roe listening to racers, but Martin has put it together, imho.
I'm going to try to convince my wife that I "need" one of these for myself, but it's likely the funds will go to clothing or some such for the twins. So, I'll likely only get 'trial runs' out of Adam's board later this summer. Being the 'coach' has it's perks, but leaves one wishing for both more $$ to burn, and Time enough to go ride. ;-)

I was wondering if any body has tried out the Landyachtz Top Wedge deck. I am about 5'11" and wondering if the stance of this board is a little small, I stand with my feet a little farther apart than some. Thank You.

Just a quick reply, off out the door to skate on a rare sunny evening! Yup, concaves on the foam cores too!
The CK is a homage to Richie and the Axe, meant to do the same job and does it really well to! Check out the site. Take care, have fun at Kona...I'm jealous! Martin.

As an experiment, I re-drilled the tail on my test-sled....(poor thing looks like Swiss Cheese now) and brought the rear truck forward an inch. Re-mounted it at 18" wheelbase and found that you DIDN'T need a big foot to take up the space at the front as the front truck is now further forward. The board was perfectly balanced, super stable and responsive in 5ft and 5.5ft straight. The board makes total sense, the kicktail cradles the front foot, the nose concave is subtle, but very well positioned...in fact the first board I have had in years that I haven't felt the need to build up with C-Foam. Very happy indeed and will set a nasty offset course this week of 5.5ft flushes,6ft offsets with diagonals, step-overs, curves etc and 5ft stingers and see what happens!

Drilled a 20" wheelbase for tight Hybrid/European Special and the board is proving to be a $75 quiver-killer...wicked!Stable, great platform and great acceleration. Definately a good option for anyone with over a size 10 and not enough money for a foam core.

I'm not sure when I got it, I'm thinking in 2002 maybe 2003. I know it's a Sector 9 but I'm looking to sell it, so the info would be great, thanks!

Hey, I have a question for anyone who can answer it. I'm looking at a landyachtz drop wedge deck. Has anyone riden one of those suckers? My thing is that I dont want to fork out 100 some dollars for something that isnt my style. I guess I'm just looking for an all around sick ass board, any suggestions?

Nice looking deck Martin. Love the "loose trucks" sticker. Want one of those for my park deck! Now I really wanna see how it compares to the Maysey deck. I don't compare it to the Axe coz the Axe is fugly.

I just had one arrive yesterday afternoon and it looks wicked! Sadly the computer that I am on will not attach pics (it just freezes), but I'm working on it. You can see it on the Roe site, but mine is black instead of yellow...nice. Drilled on the tail and an 18" and 19" wheelbase, it will work for a variety of courses. Judi Oyama has used it to good effect on Hybrid and GS and loved its control and stability.
There is a nice subtle concave in the nose area and lots of space for the more generously endowed in the foot department. This also gives multiple drilling options for TS and Hybrid/Special courses. I will be using mine as a test bed to push the design envelope as much as possible, so don't be surprised to see it looking like a piece of Swiss Cheese eventually! I feel that this design definately has "quiver-killer" potential. This would be great, a good-looking inexpensive board that replaces at least 2 boards in your quiver!
The tail is a nice angle and the board fits into the same area of the market as the Axe and the Skaterbuilts...its just, IMHO, much easier on the eye! Beautiful lines and beautifully finished....just might have to get one in foam now...
I will get to ride it pretty soon....just need the rain to stop.

the longest board that i know of having concave is the lbl old school dancer. on his site it says it has mild concave. i'm not sure if you're talking about really steep speedboard concave or what type of riding you're doing. do jam longboards have any concave? I know those are upwards of 6 feet
