NOTE TO EVERYONE: I HAVE GONE THROUGH THE GUESTBOOK AND READ THE POSTS BY ARAB AND MCREE AND I HAVE COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT YOU ARE ALL LITTLE FU**IN CHILDREN. WHY DID YOU START SKATING? IT WAS PROBABLY TO HAVE FUN, NOT TO ARGUE OVER WHETHER INDYS (I HAVE BROKEN NUMEROUS KINGPINS) OR RADIKALS (HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR TRUCKS?) ARE BETTER. WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO RIDE? WHO CARES ABOUT PODIUM FINISHES OR TRUCKS, THE POINT OF SKATEBOARDING IS TO HAVE FUN AND YOU COULD ALL TAKE A LESSON FROM ANY LITTLE KID ON A WAL-MART SKATEBOARD PUSHING AROUNG OBLIVIOUS TO THE GROWN MEN ARGUING ABOUT THEIR TRUCKS. WHY DON'T YOU ALL GET A f#@!IN LIFE!!!

Great read these past few days posts. ROTFLMAO !!!
The song had done drove me to tears.
And McCree (mccreep?),,, the post on arab the pest and you the orkin guy, just remember who`s da bug guy `round here Speaking if which, I just had a bunch of ants done, should I mail them to you direct or to the mailing address for payment for Radikal trucks?
((I`m still awaiting hand delivery of sum dead presidents to you, just email or call on the cell.)) Maybe come down for the OLLiewood new Grand Opening with the, as we talk-still in progress, vert ramp being bowled in, and then hit Dump Rd (or vice versa)??
Indy/Radikal?
Radikal/Indy ?
cub scout win vs actual Pro win?
Heck, I pulled down some podiums slaloming back in the late 70`s, do they count?

Henry had a hard time making the Boston course. He never once complained, pouted or gave up. He skated all day smiling and helping out. We need more guys like Henry.

Having skated on both coasts with just about everyone can say that there is definitely a difference in the way the cones are laid out from east to west but slalom is fun basically any way you take it... if I ever arrive at a venue where the course is "easy" and others are bitching about it, i quetly remind myself that I am lucky to be skating with some genuinely rad people and if the course is easy, go faster and make it harder!

I have come out within 3 business days with the findings of our independent testing report with findings of defective TI rod delivered to our factory.
JS has been trashing his RADIKAL at the parks with air and ollies and there has been no failure. All failures have been the result of ,in some cases, visable cavities in the king pins at the point they enter the base plate. I feel like FORD when the Firestone tires were separating.
Our supplier, ALRO metals have taken a failed unit and all the pins and will be doing their own x-raying and testing.
The fact is that our TI has a tesil strength of 150,000 psi. Well more than needed. I did not need this headache.

Palmer,
1)I have always said that it's 80% rider and 20% equipment. 2)No one product will make anyone better by any great margin. 3)I'ts not WHAT you race, But THAT YOU race. 4)I'm not in this to make a ton of money. I'm in it to promote the discipline of slalom racing. Standing aside and talking about is less than I care to do. This allows me to get more involved. That is why I chose to get BACK into the biz of truck mfg. It was my goal to make the best possible double action conventional bushing truck I could make.
5) I like ARAB. The people you see on crossfire don't HATE each other. Good debate is the cornerstone of the American way of life.
6) I like INDY"S and if I was not making my ouw, would be on them!
7) I was impressed as all get out with your mid-run pumping sesh on the fri slalom cross win at Breck.

Mccree answer me a question. Do you reall ythink your truck would make a 10th place rider a top 3 rider?
And yes Arab does have friends in the skateboard world and I'm proud to be one of them. He has helped me greatly in my short time in slalom

George, TK etc.
I'm pretty sure, having ridden GJB's courses, set a mess of my own, and ridden many others that for any given hill, east coast or west that a reasonably intelligent course setter will know what to set for tight, hybrid and gs. We all ride similar gear within reason, and travel at similar speeds given any particular hill.
I think there's a bad case of provincialism between arguing camps, but really we're not all that different.
I believe that when GBJ, Evans, Dunn or Carrasco set a tight, you're gonna wiggle your a$& off!
Ask the same guys to set a gs and sure, you'll get different interpretations, but they'll still represent something we'd all agree is a gs or big hybrid. Sure there will be complaints about every course but you can't please everyone!
What's cool to me is that the "show up or shut up" mentality does work, sorta. The vast majority of posts are from people who do show up somewhere, and get down and practice and RACE, east or west coast or anywhere in between!
I'm digging the fact that everyone's getting faster, and it's really starting to come down to the fine details, sheer will and determination. You've got to really want it to get it now! Can't wait to meet each and every one of you on the hill! (That is if I can make it!)

George, for a glimpse of a typical east coast course go to the other site and go to the slalom movie section. See Pierres clip of the Boston course. All of the top west coast riders would kill it on that course. If you are a pro level racer you should be able to run east coast west coast or even turkish courses. T

I also enjoyed the song (and I think I know who posted it). It's right up there with last year's Gilbert & Sullivan "I am the very model of a message-board personality" ditty. But this one has a better beat to it--more in keeping with the foot-stompin' nature of the "debate". I also can't help but picture the intro to "Itchy & Scratchy" on The Simpsons, when they take turns pounding each other on the head with clubs! ("They fight, and fight, and fight and fight and fight--fightfightfight,fightfightfight...The McCree and Arab Show"!) Keep it up, boys, you're cracking me up.

TK that was an very good observation. People let their emotions run them. when it comes to racing even among the pro caliber racers you have, it boils down to the course and a few other little things. I don't understand why this isn't become a place for betting. Place your bets. it would then take sandbagging to a whole new level.
It sounds like a lot of fun and I certainly like to Bass fish. maybe next year for me. when I was laid up in the hospital in New jersey I couldn't believe all the hills around Hohokus/Ridgewood and the Northern area. there are places to ride and practice. I did score a Banzai at a garage sale next door to my Father in laws, darn near mint too. killer loose balls.
the next thing is; there appears to be a difference between the way courses are set back east and out west. that is just the way it is working out. I don't look at it as E vs. W, it is different. can we admit that? No buts though, GBJ set the course at Morro. so we have an East coaster setting the course for the worlds (regardless the course was set for the road conditions) it was fair to all, everybody road the same course.
Who ever wrote that song, That was the sh*&! the best, it should be called Slalom Song! bye bye.

what would you rather watch someone killing a pool, finding new lines and sections to hit or someone trying to do teh same trick 100 times so they can get a picture fo rtheir sponsor. i respect all aspects of skateboarding, but jibbers are beat and the boards they ride are only different from eachother based on the graphics.
Generic at best. carbon copy clones

Tway said... "Arab, I think Kenny, JG, Vlad, Noah, Hollien, Mandarino, Kirby, 13, Parsons, Dong, MM and a few others have an excellent chance at winning dafarm. I'm sure you'd probably make the top 4, have the time of your life, meet some new friends and catch a fire at the party…(hell you may even catch a bass.)
However, the only winners of our little redneck race in the middle of nowhere are this years charities.
I hope some year you can make the trip. "
Tway, that was a decent post except for one point. I really don't think Arab would make the top four in any event except the Vintage Race (Arab has a huge collection). I mean ,he's a good racer and I've seen him go fast. The guy could race. BUT, I feel he would simply be outclassed by the caliber of racers we have at The Farm this year. He could definatly win the B class no doubt but the top 4 will be a dog fight between Mollica, Gilmour, Donger, Vlad, Noah and Hollien. I too would like for Hab to come up and party with us but it aint ever gonna happen. Theres just too much at risk. See you on Aug 1st buddy, TK

The song thing was the funniest yet. Congrads to whoever did it.
I posted the king pin press release on vendor's corner.
I must point out that I own a set of PVD's and I DID rag about design as I couldn't get a wrench-(how many did I say you needed?) around some of the nuts and bolts and there were so many of them and to change the bushing you had to dis-assemble the truck at 4 or 5 points. I did not like the action etc. All of those points are design issues.
Remember, RADIKAL is a tried and true dbl action standard bushing kingpin design. Very hard to bash, as you would be bashing the design concept of your 40 year old technology trucks you now zealously love and cherrish.
What is happening to the king pins is a supplier of raw material problem, NOT an inherrent design oversight or flaw. And taking advantage to bash the product would be tantemount to bashing Ford for the tire failures in the explorers.
ARAB- I will be here tonight BTW. and lets not be so juvenile with the name calling. I guess that you picked that bad habit up racing in the cub scouts when you raced as a young'un. If you can't be right-calling them a name is BS and shows your lower level of inteligence.
Also we ALL will be looking to see your proof of a published win in a pro forum.

I take what you are saying to mean that real skateboarding is repetitive. I find it hard to believe that someone who spends all his time rolling back and forth in a pool doing the same "rad" slash grinds and early grab indy's is calling street skating repetitive.
