I agree. Much like the difference between what the United States did to its enemies in 1943-45 and what it accomplished against those very same former adversaries between 1946 and 1956.
Furthermore, anyone who believes the United States' only option for world domination is the the nuclear threat has one thing in common with Saddam Hussein and the Taliban: a gross and almost-juvenile misunderstanding of the resolve and capabilities of the American soldier.
Y'all just keep on talking about how the US is just a bunch of bullies wanting everything you have. Then ask yourself one question: what if that were really true? What if the the United States really was a bunch of greedy, arrogant and intimidating bullies? What would happen to YOU?

Just for the record... I don't think the United States (even with Israel) could take the rest of the world. Not even in Golf, and maybe not even in basketball. Unless we could get all nations to agree to a ruler wrestle off and elect R-nuld. He'd go molten matalic on Tony B. or any other of the Euro rulers. But watch out for the South American crowd. The Brazilian Prez might bring some of that Ultimate Fighting smack and put the hurt on us. Actually, I think Terminator might just be a movie. Let's try the Golf.
It's one thing to blow up something, but a whole nuther deal putting it back together. So a thought for others that would flame the world, we may not rule the world because we don't want to, but also because we can't.
Our best bet would be to lead by example.

Wesley T.,
Yes, the truth hurts. There's no need to explain america could blow us all away with just one push on the knob. I think that's damn scary and not something you should be very proud of.
There also is no question that american companies, american industries and american money already dominate the world and control almost everything.
I pray to god that your noble "sense of morality" will never go wrong, or we all will be just part of the radioactive fallout that will cover our whole world, no matter if friend or foe.

Question: Why is the whole world not subjugated into an all-encompassing and overwhelming American Empire?
Answer: Because we choose not to.
Just remember that the next time you decide to announce how stupid, arrogant and greedy we are. If that were true, YOU would be answerable to an American Viceroy in London, Paris, Berlin or Tokyo who managed all your affairs with directives issued by Washington.
It's easy to throw pot shots and call Americans "arrogant" and "greedy." The truth of the matter, though, is that if that were true, we would control EVERYTHING. The best thing working right now for YOUR self determination is OUR SELF RESTRAINT.
If we ever choose to do otherwise, you'd never stand in our way. You can label this arrogant and ignorant on my part, but just give some thought to the reality of the situation in the world today. NOTHING stands between US and YOU but our own sense of morality in not eliminating YOU and your way of life.
The truth hurts. Deal with it.
Have a happy new year.
P.S. And no, the "world" united against the United States would not stop us. It would just gather all our adversaries closer together and make an easier target. Deal with the reality of the way things are, not the delusions of how you wished things to be.

Brady,I like a a lot of skateboarding, I ride street and longboards, I didn't know what slalom was until I came across the smarmyskateboarder.com website, I cant login using my email, because its my dads email and if anything comes back to him that he does not like I will lose my computer privelages, thats the rules, besides I did not like the way those dudes treated eachother there, I found this website and I like it mucho better because all the different styles of skateboarding here, like, what is buttboarding and sandboarding? KEWL!
I wanted to do slalom but those guys all seem to have sticks up there butts, I logged on here early this morning and seen some guy made a picture with the other guy with a dick on his head, if my dad caught me looking at that he would ban me for life.
Thanks for the info stuff, I like this website better also, It was hard to follow what was going on at smarmyskateboarder.com and those dudes seemed like they just talk about slalom and don't really do it anyways.
see ya dude

Shane,
There is no smarmyskateboarder.com. It`s what you get by way of filters when you type slalom skateboader.com (with out the space) onto ncdsa.
ss.com is slalom specific while ncdsa is all about skateboarding other than the newschool popsicle stick type skating (not that there is anything wrong with those types).
My personal opinion is I like both sites. Probably ncdsa more so because of it`s format and varied style os skating forums.
As foe using the ss.com login, you are only required to enter an email to log in and your email can be hidden from then on.
What types of skating do you do?

ncdsa dudes, do I need to register to vote here? I notice that people can give me abuse votes and stuff, but I can't vote, how come? one of the reasons I don't go to smarmyskateboarder.com anymore is because you have to register with and email address, I use my dads email and Iam not allowed to share it with people on line.
so what gives dudes?

Mike, Why do you write your post anonymously? Is it because you are ashame if your own ugnorance?
"Well well well, it`s good to see that you ( Americans ) start to wake up !"
What makes you think I was ever asleep? I`ve been man enough to post my opinion and never hah to hide under anonyminity.
"Wake up america !"
HELLO? I`m still awake...
"For most People around the world you are the dumbest, most ignorrant, most arrogant, most greedy group of people ever lived on this planet."
You couldn`t be more wrong. I can`t speak FOR MOST PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD, but my feeling is that most intellegent people around the world don`r group us into a lump mass. That would be an assumption. And you know the saying of when you assome something....you`ll make an ASS of yoU and ME.
So please inform all of os which country you are from and why you think it`s better than the US?
Amd lastly, one can`t both be dumb AND ignorant (one R)... Being dumb means you lack the ability to reason. Being ignorant means you have the ability to reason but choose not to.

Well well well, it`s good to see that you ( Americans ) start to wake up ! I only say that Bush and his Gang will pay one day for what they did. I don`t say it was wrong that Sadam was removed but the way Bush acted at the UN just shortly bevore the war startet was a criminal act. Wake up america ! For most People around the world you are the dumbest, most ignorrant, most arrogant, most greedy group of people ever lived on this planet. OK you still belive the dream of living in FREEDOM, tell you what , you are totaly hypnoticed !
I lived about 3 years in the US and have still many friends there, i was also in California when 9/11 happend. and all the reactions from You were , o we have to go and bomb them. Well it looks like you did not understand the massage from that day at all. YOU did exactly what they wannet you to do , and now you are all by your selve to get out of this s#@!. I personaly think this is just the beginning of the end of the American empire.
P.S. Get rid of the f**ing Criminal BUSH and get your people home as long as ther is time.

JONNYX,
You need to lighten yer load dude. Most of us in the USA are pretty much with ya. This "war" is turning out to be another vietnam. Maybe we entered Iraq on false pretenses but there is no denying what Saddam did and might do in regards to destabilizing the whole region.
Let`s take the "terrorism deal" out of the equation and and look at what might be merits for this conflict.
He invaded his neighboring country, he basically said F-U to the UN inspections that were part of his agreement after the ceasefire. And God knows all the sh!t he has done to his own people. And yet, there were some reliable facts of his finacing the Al Queda and housed some of thier members.
Me personally, I question why we are in there based on the merits of what we were told to get us there. I also question the 2 separate fronts (Afgahnistan/Iraq) simultaneously. And also the contract awarding to thier cronies.
But still, you are way too far over on the left. Your joke of plans of assasinating GWBush (I knew it was a joke) and other comments shows only your ascewed opinions. I don`t recall you ever saying anything negative about Osama or Saddam. In order for you to actually ADD to this discussion, you might wanna try and see what we over here are thinking. Check my previous posts and those of MissouiMatt or Crunchy Knee.
Case/counterpoint...
I am not FOR this war but since we are there, I AM WITH our troops and back them 1000%.
I love my country but I`m leary of the top dogs in charge.
I feel raped on the the reasons given to remove Saddam but still feel it`s the right thing to do....keep in mind, as you already admitted, had that area gone full kilter towards destabilization, it would have cost both you and me dearly.
So try to ADD to this discussion by coming more towards the middle instead of slinging leftists remarks.

"Skate a hill and drink some beer."
Now that sounds like a mighty fine idea! As soon as the roads dry out, (approx April 2004), I think thats exactly what I'll do.
Note how the bloke from Ireland changes "a beer" to "some beer". A subtle but significant detail. :-)
Cheers

so we are still hearing stuff about iraq sponsoring/promoting terror abroad as a justification for the war. even richard perle has now admitted this is not true and that the war was illegal. please supply ANY evidence for this. i think you all should be asking why Bush ordered the FBI and CIA to stop investigating Saudi terror links in march 2001, it was clear something was going to happen.
as for war pig comparing slavery, fascism, nazism and communism with terrorism, if you cant tell the difference between an ideology and a method then there really is no hope for you.

Sparkler, No offense taken. Even Michael's Missouri Rat comment was taken in stride. Infact, I took note as suggested and that's what prompted my response. I'm sure given the chance to skate a hill and drink a beer we'd all get a long fine. I'm sorry it's not that simple outside of the NCDSA.

If we (the USA) were truly going after the terrorists, then why didn't/won't-we do something to the Saudis? 17 of 19 of the 9/11 attackers were Saudi. We didn't/won't because of economic interests.
As far as Iraq goes...for the unelected fraud Bush it was all a simple personal matter...he said "Saddam tried to kill my daddy." For the true brains behind the administration (Cheney, Rummy, etc.) it was setteling old scores and furthing economic interests for personal gain (example being Halliburton) and for political payoffs (example being Wcom getting the exclusive wireless build deal). Iraq will prove to be a long and expensive venture for the USA and a lot of our allies, but will ultimately reward many in the administration.
Where's Osama?
Let's hope that more American's wake up to Dumbya and companies re-tooling of the USA in their corporate-facist-rightwing-christian-fun-duh-ment alist image and vote this crap out in 2004.
