I'd like to edit the "too" in my previous post to "to."
Also, I wrote a little something in MS word that I want to post to the soulcarving forum. When I copy it to the Entry box and then try to submit it, I get a "document contains no data" message.
Do I have to type it directly into the entry box (as I am doing now)?

Thanks mostly too geezerguy's Concrete Wave and this website, I got a longboard. Life is groovy once again. Does anyone have a special name of the sound that skateboard wheels make as the cruise along asphalt?

SKATEMUSIC REDUX Hi gang: it's been a little while since I regaled the crowd with a little of the ol' "special sauce," so I figured,"AAH,LET'EM HAVE IT!!"with this cut comes a caveat: GO SOMEPLACE WHWERE YOU CAN JUST SKATE WITHOUT HAVING TO LOOKOUT FOR TRAFFIC(please)or take someone with a REALLY BIIG mouth, so when they yell "LOOK OUT!"you actually have a chance(you'll be THAT distracted)......IN THIS CORNER...QUITE POSSIBLY THE FUNKIEST,MOST POWER-PACKED 6:07 OF YOUR LIFE...LADIEEZ AND GENTLEMEN...MAYNARD FERGUSON'S"PRIMALLLL SCREEAMM!!!"(I don't want to hear any complaints from outraged parents or pissed off kids concerning VOLUME...(KAYLEE:If you liked "STREETWAVE"WAIT'LL YOU HEAR THIS!!) I DEFY you to keep it under 20,on the ground, or inside the park with THIS song playing....'And Let's be careful out there' ....HA!

Its a bit spooky that the profile of the Visitors Chart resembles the transitions of most 70,s skateparks !!! In 10yrs we,ll be hitting vert. Congrats to the Webmaster(s) over the years for a Great site:-)

I've never posted on the site but will be more active in the postings in the future - I'll set aside time to try to stay in touch with the sub-skateboarding culture of longboarders through the site. United we stand strong as brethren with cause. But it might take me awhile to catch up with all the archived postings - I just spent @ an hour reading all of Arabs past postings - He's a fountain of info / insight, a guyser of inside gossip - So where's the pools Arab - just kiddin' I know you'll tell me in private - Please - So I'll be talkin' to ya'all soon a'ight - Late

Just wanted to thank all that are involved with this site. I got back into skating after a near 20 year absence and the sport is just so alive! I live on the East Coast and in the 70's we had to order from Val Surf through the Skateboarder mag to get our gear, Boy how things have changed! I'm not to old to skate and it's keeping me young.

lowrider,
For stability you may want to consider either the Randal Downhills or the Comp II's. The Comp II's are probably safer because of the free floating axel (also 6 times more expensive, but I think that they're worth it)
I have not been able to prove that they are any "faster" though (but some day I will try!)
Hope that helps some... HR

Ive been skateing for a few years now and have recently bought Sector9 pintail 42". I'm riding with Cherrybombs at the moment and Abec 5 bearings, now my question is what would help me make the board faster and more stable. i want to buy some new trucks but am unsure as to which would be best suited to me and my board ;RII's, Comp II'sor speed downhill's.
I would appreciate any advice anyone could give me as the fastest i can get to go is around the 70km mark.

SKATING TAKES YOUR MIND OFF SEX. ITS OFFICIAL. Cos i was in the red barn on sat and this real class chick inquired as to my sleeping arrangements. I already have a lady friend though, so i declined, but it still narked me off so i went for a skate with my boy Perry down through woolacombe. Half an hour of coleman slides and sweet drop knees put me in a better mood!! I'd like to shout to Paul, ferrit and The Serial Killer in the bedford camper from london. U boys rule, but what the hell were we drinking? SOmething like gold slayers? if anyone knows what the hell that is, let me know!! They hurt!! Anyway hopefully we'll see u about. Keep the stoke alive!! Strength and honour.
