HEY EDZIAK!!!!
You'd better bust out your bell bottoms and learn how to tie dye real soon cuz longboarding is just starting it's "hayday" right now. Look at the statistics of this site! The hits keep climbing! The Longboard Lounge has over 60 members this week. Biker Sherlock is FEATURED in Bikini Magazine this month. Michael Brooke has started a magazine just for longskates. My local skate shop got in several new decks last week. I went in this morning and ALL OF THEM WERE SOLD! I see more and more longboarders every week in my neighborhood alone. The technology has improved the most over the past year. YOU may have had YOUR heyday in the 70's, but BIG BOARDS RULE RIGHT NOW!!!!!!!!!

sorry about all that, but i just wanted to fight.
anyway. I personly think that any music that is out there is good to skate with as long as you like it. I personly like any beach boys, and Dick Dale, but im realy for techno, wich isnt by the way redone 70's disco.

I am leaving for Hawaii on the 30th of this month. Some of the places I will be going are Honalulu, Kona, and Hilo. If there are any longboarders out there who would be willing to give me a little tour of some the sicker hills you have, then please send me an e-mail and I will give you a call when I get there. I am bringing my fibreflex and am very stoked to ride some Hawaiian roads.
Peace.

Hey guys,
Just updated Nose Wheelie, a skategeezer/longboard classic "The Cult of The Longboard," reprinted from a 1978 issue of SkateBoarder Magazine and a new site of the month. Hopefully, I'll get a few more things up before the month runs out.
Later,
Chris

1.The word is condemnation not condemption. www.dictionary.com is a very useful site. 2.I am the ultimate authority on the skate music that I like.
But bro, relax, I was just trying to start a fun topic with a bit of sarcasm thrown in. I didn't ask for the total recall and protest of these other musicians, although I would back it if anyone wants to protest Yanni and/or Kenny G. What I like or dis-like does nothing to stop you from purchasing and enjoying your music.
So what are your top and bottom five?

Longboard chicks.
Hey Gabe. Saw a couple of hotties on longboards this weekend. They were at the local skatepark. It was really busy, and they were only there for about 15 min, while they took some pictures. They took off before I could really talk to them, but they were in their late 20's. Just so you know bro, just so you know.

what the hell, whats with this public condemption of music that you might not like. why do you feel that you are the authority of all skate music that is out there. Personly i feel that alot of the music that you happen to like, is not at all good. In fact, I have no taste for anything that you have listed. But do you see me on the database slandering other peoples music? no. thats becouse I value other people's rights to listen to what ever kind of music that they want to listen too.

I get far more people interested in th fact that I am riding a big ass board. I am 30 years old and have a high dollar type job. Most people ask me the same old questions: how do you turn that thing? How do you stop?? Can you ride that in the 1/2 pipe? ect... ect...I am always happy to answer the same old questions. I am a big guy that no shortboarder would ever dare to mess with, but I turn a whole lot of shortboarders into potential longboarders with a little positive attitude (who says size doesn't matter)The BOTTOM LINE is that what we do is all about having fun.
Stoked in Dallas...

Favorite music to skate to?
mine are,
1. Slacktones - bum kicking surf music.-great all'round riding music, better for fast downhill/vert. 2. Reverend Horton Heat - best for vert skating. Everclear is a good substitute. 3. Bud Shank - 60's jazz soundtrack from Bruce Brown's Barefoot Adventure's surf movie. -great beach crusing music. 4. Honk - 5 summer stories soundtrack, real early 70's mellow kinda folk/surf sounds. Pipeline and Lopez sequences stand out. 5. Pulp Surfing compliation - all kinds of cool surf toons.
music to ruin a day of skating with
1. Yanni - 'nuf said 2. Marilyn Manson - this guy needs a butt kicking, definately NOT a skater. 3. Kenny G - see Marilyn Manson notes. 4. Rap - any "artist", NOT skater music, definately Blader music. 5. Disco - 70's disco sucked then..it sucks now, this includes disco in it's repackaged forms of "Trance", "Techno", etc.

Shortboarders:
Well, I know that some bad things have been said about shortboarders... They really are not as evil as some (including myself) have said. I skate at the local skatepark and it is really small and full of shortboarders. Every time I am there with my longboard, the shortboarders always ask about it and make a comment like "Whoa, trippy". Anyway, someone always asks to try it and I let them. They always have a positive comment to say, and are impressed with how smooth it is. So, next time you see a short boarder, have em try your board, maybe you will make a new friend!

I've said how I used to be the only longboarder my whole city. Well, after a friend of mind recovered from his last crash all his friends and their friends are buying like sector9's and stuff. And a bunch of college kids are too. Just wanted to say that around here were gonna have tons of longboarders cruising like crazy. Keep going.
Peace

Longboard Lounge. Anyone with a computer needs to join this. The address is http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/longboardlounge. We now have regular chats on Sundays 8:00 EST. That would be like 5 or 6 here on the West, I think. By the way I'm longboardingrules on there. So say Hi if you see me. Peace
