Its has been years since I've been on this site. The statement you made about Roger Hickey is so in correct. What bathroom wall did you get that from? Mr. Wonder you have just made an ass out of yourself.
Grow up! Get your facts straight.
Why don't you address yourself like a man, unless I'm talking to a BOY........ and if so then I applogize.
I want to thank Marcus Reitena & Bob Ozman for keeping the true spirit of this sport alive.

Wow Nippleless. Are you retarded? Or semi-retarded? Because at least that would be and excuse to explain how retarded your post was. Roger kicks ass, hes won like every race possible, and he was probobly racing while you were still in your Pampers brother. You have to look at from the big picture: Roger hepled this sport progess SO much, and so many people dont relize it. So instead of bagging on him, and taking your anger from not having any nipples out on him, take a step back and breathe, because if it wasnt for the guys in the "older" decade, this sport would be nowhere.

Now this is funny and dude you should be a comedian,,,,,, I have not been on here in ages and my friend Perry Fisser, which you did not include in your vast knowledge of the historian racers in Stretluge, but has done more then all of those you did mention, called me laughing at the "ridiculous" statement you made about me suing ESPN for some fight tape Biker and myself had. First off I have never sued ESPN, nor would I want to, and if they actually aired that tape that is cool since I walked out of that in pretty good shape for fighting four guys, and went on to win that race later that day. To your other point of us being "old guys" that pushed the "limits" of another decade, once again you have shown your extreme depth of knowledge to your sport of choice. You are right about one thing, if you want to show guys of today, I am not the one, but they called me to film someone who put in 25 years in the sport and the only ones that I know on your list for that task would be Bob Ozman and Lee D. Keep up the good work Nipple Boy, Streetluge needs another reporter from the Enquire......... rumors so help the validity of everything. At least that part of the sport has never changed. Marcus, thanks for the respect at the last race and pointing out to me that I never have anything to prove ever again,,,,,, I much appreciate it. RWH
PS - I was thinking about remaking a couple of the Eagle Streetluge boards for those of you that want them, but you will have to update the clay wheels from what we used to race "decades" ago.

Wasn't one of the reasons ESPN dropped standup from the xgames was due to Hickey sueing ESPN for airing the footage of him and Biker fighting?????
i think thats a rad oppurtunity for lugers but i hope they pick guys that have been pushing the limits of this decade not yesteryear.
i have a lot of respect for guys like Waldo, Mason, Pererya, Oz, Duck, Leemo, Biker, etc but these guys hardly ride let alone Hickey.
i sure hope they pick guys like Rogers bros, Rob Reuman, Meehan bros, and Tyler Wendtland. Especially the young guns.
guys that go out and PUSH IT consistently in our CURRENT times!

IGSA World Champions & World Cup Champions

I want to clear up some confusion and set the record straight on past IGSA World Champions and World Cup Champions. The first is that these are two seperate titles that a competitor can win each year.
The IGSA started the World Cup Series in 2001 to crown an overall series champion at the end of each calender year. Every year each competitors four highest point scoring finishes are added together. The rider with the greatest number of points is declared the IGSA World Cup Champion. We limit the number of races counted to four so that it is not simply the rider who attends the most races who is the champion. To become the World Cup Champion takes consistency, strong finishes and a dedication to the sport.
Each year since 2002, the IGSA has designated one event as the IGSA World Championships. This is our biggest and most prestigious event of the year. If a rider wins this raced he is the IGSA World Champion for the next year. A rider does not need to attend a single other event the entire year to earn this title. If a rider wins the World Championships, they were the best on that particular hill on that particular day against the toughest competition in the world.
Since the IGSA World Cup Series began in 2001, there have been three riders who have won both the Street Luge and Classic Luge titles. They are Dave Rogers (2001), Rian James (2004) and David Dean (2005). In 2005 David Dean also won the Street Luge and Classic Luge classes at the World Championships in Jungholz, Austria. He is the only rider to ever win both the IGSA World Cup Series Championship and the IGSA World Championships in the same year. I hope this clears up the confusion.
IGSA World Cup Champions (Street Luge) 2001 Dave Rogers (USA) 2002 Pete Eliot (GBR) 2003 Richard Knaggs (RSA) 2004 Rian James (USA) 2005 David Dean (USA)
IGSA World Cup Champions (Classic Luge) 2001 Dave Rogers (USA) 2002 Jeremy Gilder (GBR) 2003 Jeremy Gilder (GBR) 2004 Rian James (USA) 2005 David Dean (USA)
IGSA World Champions (Street Luge) 2002 Olivier Wagner (SUI) 2003 Brent DeKeyser (USA) 2004 Leander Lacey (RSA) 2005 David Dean (USA)
IGSA World Champions (Classic Luge) 2002 Leander Lacey (RSA) 2003 Michael Serek (AUT) 2004 Gregory Martin (FRA) 2005 David Dean (USA)

I had a film producer and a casting director referred to me by Jack Weinert from ESPN this past week. The producer explained to me that they are developing a short film project on street luge and have already been in contact with Roger Hickey. The crew will be at this upcoming weekend's Bonelli race to look for cast members and extras for the film. Just show up on Saturday and you may get picked to be in a movie!!!

Top rider, Rian James has a record of consistant wins on the podium over the past several years. He is the 2004 World Champion in Street and Classic luge. The title was clinched at the final 2004 World Cup Race in Africa in December 2004. He is the only luge rider to win both World titles in the same year. He was "King of the Hill" in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this past January 2006. Having missed the 2005 December Africa final World Cup Race, had he raced I suspect he would have had both World Championships again for a second year. In Rio he showed us all that when he is a race, he will be on the podium. Rian is consistently a top qualifyer. Keep your eye on this rider, he is HOT. Rian is shopping for a sponsor, he is a great rider, a great winner and the perfect luge rider for your logo. Anyone who can get a copy of the Velocidade magazine in Brazil featuring Rian on the center page please contact me at hartbeat@comcast.net. Thankyou. Be honest, be good, be professional, above all BE FAST.

both gsi and igsa will allow wood luges so long as they are constructed well and pass tech. the same tech rules apply to wood luges as to metal luges. wood luges are usually not as heavy as metal luges and in g-sports heavier is usually better. make sure that your luge has bumpers, i dont build mine with bumpers, but they are easy enough to install. fast eddie outty
