kanfuis mystery rider
On 9/19/2002 joseph wrote in from (203.51.nnn.nnn)

yeah me and my friend went there but only got to go twice. mad hill for bombing but to narrow for carving. if i got the right hill there were some minor speed humps? is that the right hill. i didnt have time to keep looking as i had to get back to the ferry. cronulla takes a long time to get too by public transport. i got a force board and had a chance to give it a good run. i had to bail. i am trying to learn to slide but three weeks ago i fell off and ripped pulled ligament tendons or something in my hand so i cant put any weight on it. cant fall either so gotta stay slow. in the holidays not next week but week after i am trying to get out and skate some better hills if your interested i can see you at manly and head up to the hill. oh i was riding 85mm kryptonics not abecs but buying a set of 78 a flashbacks this weekend. i have to go to manly to get a replacement hanger as the axle in my r2 has come lose. e-mail me if interested in going skating in the holidays!!!

Lyttleton tunnel opens
On 9/17/2002 h0dad wrote in from (132.181.nnn.nnn)

Whoohoo says h0dad, having learned that the Lyttleton tunnel is to be opened to cyclists at 10.30AM sharp on Sunday, October the 6th. It's a downhill gradient from CHCH to Lyttleton, right through the hills, more grade than it appears. I'm sure that they they wont mind a longboarder or two in the pack.

On 8/26/2002 Tony wrote in from (198.142.nnn.nnn)

Yeah Brad, we are planning to start a comp later this year to cater for all types of downhill, slalom, giant slalom, luge and standing downhill, if you are keen, you know my email, get in touch and we'll oragnise state and Australia wide comps, there is certainly enough interest to warrant and attempt at getting this going. Let me know your thoughts on this Brad.
Take care,
Tone

Currently putting together an association in Victoria, so events can progress with insurance and be run and organised as professionally as possible. Just interested to see if there is enough interest out there to get the ball rolling.
Cheers,

would definatly travel to VIC for a downhill gathering I think that one might have to do some research on liability insurance and establish a association or similar type of organisation to run such an event
