Hey nifotc,

Try Boarders at Collaroy, last year they were stocking Dregs decks. I've also seen Surfection in Warriewood and Mona Vale carry Flexdex boards.

I find Manly Blades the best as they can specially order stuff from S9, such as deck only etc.

This country seems to be limited to S9 Boards, Independant Trucks and Krypto wheels. There's probably a small but consistent market if somebody wants to become the distributor for Randall Trucks in Australia.

Sydney shops
On 1/7/2002 kanufi wrote in from (144.134.nnn.nnn)

Surfection shops usually have sectors 4 sale the best range i found was at mosman surfection but its all pretty sad if you want wheels or better trucks or a board other then a S9,the best bet 4 wheels is the online stores but the cost of getting it sent to sydney is a killer.Me and a few friends are going to get an order going of some abec 11 wheels and some trucks in the next few weeks(or when they can save some money instead of drinking piss)but if you want a board i can make you one alot cheaper then buying a board if you can find a shop which will seperate a deck from the rest.So the range for longboarders pretty much sux in sydney no randals no range of wheels no nothing, bummer.
Cheers Kanufi.

That spiral garage might make for a mean TS with big GS curves. I'd fly for a goofy thing like that.

Gnarly spirals
On 12/27/2001 h0dad wrote in from (202.37.nnn.nnn)

I've been hearing about a spiral carpark ramp in Wellington
that is open to skaters one day a year, you guys know anything
about that?

I went up to wellington a coupla months back and found two
spirals, one was 4 storeys and barely ridable (fast) and the
other was maybe 8 storeys of pure insanity (very fast).

red bull race
On 12/27/2001 kanufi wrote in from (144.134.nnn.nnn)

Yeah Nic i heard it was on in perth W.A but i couldnt find it anywhere on the east coast.I thought it was going to be on with the x;games being held in sydney and all, but after talking to sector 9 sydney they reckon the organisers could,nt afford to close down the streets for the event so they had a splinter event on down the gong with the cameras but it was very hush hush. They should have held it in the opera house carpark which is meant to be a filthy multi level spiraling beast but it didnt happen. It might only need people like us to go to the media and organise the whole thing ,im sure they would be interested as its something people like to watch.

JSA
On 12/26/2001 Mad Hack wrote in from (211.12.nnn.nnn)

Hi,
JG, I really have been in contact with the JSA. I will try again. The last time I tried I got no answer. The country is really regional, so I'm hoping to do something in this region (Chugoku, with Hiroshima in the centre), but it will be starting from nothing, maybe. There are some longboarders around, but the best way will be for me to be seen and have others approach me. Right now, real equipment, like spacers, for example, is impossible to find. Longboards are no problem: slalom is jazzier so should catch on if it does (a big if). I hope some Japanese riders will tap into this site, but language makes things alittle difficult, I think (as you can see, the post-British-colonial presence is stronger here). I'll try to get them to link here and to the differnt manufacturers' sites. We'll see. It IS taking a long time, I know, but everything here does. The high school I teach at still doesn't have a computer lab for the students...go figure.
Scott
