Eddie,
where are you in NZ? h0dad and buds have put down a few weighted coke cans for casual slaloms on occasion here in Christchurch, which has a few gradients here and there.

Hey Peasley,
A few of us go cruise the carparks late at night usually just goofing around but occasionally attempting some version of serious slalom. The riders are from beginner to whatever - guys, girls and rollerbladers. You can contact me on 0404472977 or check out www.gravitystunts.com we are keen as to build up the crew in Brisbane

cheers,
Arbi

i have not been able to get any and i've had three shops (that can usually get me non common stuff) try and find an aussie distributor. you can get abec 11's, krypto's, powell bombers, exkate and other wheels at manly blades though or if you just want abec 11 stuff there is a link to the aussie gravity sports site on www.lugeaustralia.com

canberra roadtrippin
On 3/14/2005 Fitz wrote in from Australia  (203.164.nnn.nnn)

Hey guys, just been readin your posts and thought to let you know we might be doin a canberra run soon. A few of my mates and myself from sydney way have been doin road trips lately bombin as much as we can from Dapto, Mt Kiera, National parks, Lithgow, Sofala and even Mt Panarama. Canberra was actually next on the list so if you wanna hook up soon, would be good. Spence Drains has been on my "to do" list for ages and I've been told theres some sick downhill runs canberra way too. We'll be bringin everything from speedboards, streetluge, buttboards, ditchbitches, and maybe even slalomboards to get some practice in. Not this weekend but possibly one after.

drains
On 3/13/2005 boyd wrote in from Australia  (203.23.nnn.nnn)

hey there, thanks for that! - I hope to get back there soon with a few old school riders who ride kincumber drain with me, last time i was on a mission to find an slightly bigger drain further south in the ACT and had to give up on spence - i was getting worried i had been around that corner so many times slowly checking out the reserve the residents would get spooked
i'm a bit eclectic and ride a mix of boards from short to long boards and mountainboards - trying to keep learning and have fun, i just really like riding boards,
hope we can hook up

On 2/14/2005 Cpt. Evil aka Fitz wrote in from Australia  (203.164.nnn.nnn)

Freaks, beginners and jack of all trades. Hopefully I'll be able to round up a fair crew of skaters to participate or at least help out on the day.
I myself, am a confessed novice at slalom, however I'm keen as to have a lash just for the sake of takin advantage of a shutdown mainroad. Oh Yeah! That's what it's all about eh lads. Lets see a good turn out for this and get the wheels in motion. Annual raceday straightout sucks (no disrespect) but we need to make it happening more often. If we can get enough interest goin then maybe we can get more events put on for a more skater oriented crowd.

old school sessions and contest
On 2/9/2005 Tony Hallam wrote in from Australia  (144.131.nnn.nnn)

We have regular sessions all over Melbourne every Tuesday and on most weekends, get in touch and I can get you put in the loop so you know where the next one will be.
We are also having the Melbourne Old school jam this weekend at Point Cook skatepark or at the Indoor bowl in Sunshine if it turns out to be wet. There are many interstate skaters coming over and it was rad last year, this year will be radical.
Cheers,
Tony
