Dude, you rule! Wow, thanks for the response, I really appreciate it. Man, I emailed Joe Lehm this morning saying it would be 50/50 if I make it to D-Slap. If you buy my boards that would be sweet. Thanks for your efforts, the boards will be well worth iT!!! I will email you a photo of both boards tomorrow morning.

This Sucks!
On 4/21/2009 Rob wrote in from United States  (67.176.nnn.nnn)

NJK's with usual road wear and unusual repairs. The front leg patch is secure and only covers a slide burn which made the original material thin. Zips all work. 17" across the back. 21" sleeve length. 33" waist. 7" tear on right hip and a 2" hole on the left. They are in decent shape and a much better suit than off the rack moto leathers. I'm 5'9" 165lbs 33" waist 30" length and damn sexy! Best offer over 350 bux so I can play with Jimmy at Ditch Slap. 970 445 8980. I will be traveling to Cali and on to AZ before Albuquerque and can deliver.

1975 ALVA Deck
On 4/21/2009 Fredvintage wrote in from France  (193.253.nnn.nnn)

Hi

Thank's for your answer. I know that this first Alva model is more from 1977.
But I wanted to put the very same description than this guy. And he wrote, in his first description "NOS 1975 ALVA TEAM SKATEBOARD"
He has now changed it into "NOS/70's ALVA TEAM SKATEBOARD"
Anyway, one thing is sure : this is a "strangel" eBay seller with a strange communication.

Alva Skates 1975?
On 4/20/2009 Kevin wrote in from United States  (72.67.nnn.nnn)

There was no such thing as Alva Skates in 1975, at that time Tony was either still riding for Zephyr or now riding for Logan Earth Ski.

DUH!!!!!!

Ebay warning ALVAS NOS 1975
On 4/17/2009 buddy rawls wrote in from United States  (128.158.nnn.nnn)

Fredvintage, there were numerous bells that should have went off on that.
1) Alva Skates in 1975 (vintage late 77)
2) ply construction with warptail (vintage 77)
3) large 4-bolt truck mounting pattern (the tracker pattern started in mid 75, but the market was still running the small SG/XCAL style patterns, makaha dual pattern, and the 3-hole Bennett and chicago style mounting. It was not till well up into late 76, possibly even early 77, that the large pattern came into wide use.
4) 8" (or very near) board width

And those are 4 real quick assessments

Ebay warning ALVAS NOS 1975
On 4/17/2009 fredvintage wrote in from France  (79.88.nnn.nnn)

Hi skaters

A couple of weeks ago i posted a topic about a guy selling on EBAY a "NOS ALVA 1975 Team deck". I had big doubts on him (check my previous post).
Just to tell you know that i don't have anymore. BE CAREFUL is the minimum i can say, here's why :

After quite a big number of mails, the guy was OK to sell it to me.
We both agreed on a price, and everything seemed to be fine.
But when i told him that a friend of mine would come to his place, pay him, and take the deck for me, he suddendly changed his mind, arguying there were some other people interested in the deck, bla bla bla (like Iggy Pop would say :-).

I don't know what you think of it, but looks strange to me,
I wouldn't be surprised if somebody say that he paid for the deck and never received it....
This seller is : 714sk8that

I thought I'd post these instead of just tossing them out:

Gravity Team Travels - 45 minutes; 1999
Kryptonics The Monkey - 30 minutes (?); 2000
Thrasher Hillbilly Roadkill - 28 minutes; 1998
Big Brother boob - 54 minutes; 1999 (before 'jackass' there were the big brother videos so you know what to expect)

$20 for the lot (plus split the cost of shipping)

Need a Tracker Extrack...or a pair
On 4/13/2009 Bob F wrote in from United States  (98.204.nnn.nnn)

I have tried to get used to these Bennetts and I just am not digging them. Near brand new set of black 4. whatevers for sale, but I'd rather trade them for an actual truck like an Extrack. Just one is OK. 2 Is just as good. Has to be visually good as well as structually OK. No fake me outs please. Has to be a real gnarly Tracker Extrack.

Tracker is just better........

for me.
