Buy-Sell-Trade (11975 Posts) Item Description 1973 Ick Stick On 6/19/2009 BARA wrote in from United States  (204.78.nnn.nnn) ok....this is probably the oldest true slalom board left....anywhere....and i need travel cash so here it goes to the highest solid offer... It's a 1973 Ick Stick made by Rick Howell in middle school for a local skater. Set up with the correct trucks and wheels, not just correct for that era, but the ones that Rick told me it had when he built it. It's mahoganny with a resin coating. The topcoat is hand rolled textured. The bottomcoat has a portion that has lifted from the wood. The board itself is still very solid and rideable.....if you felt you had to ride it the ICK STICK is actually cut with rice paper, done in his art class. This boards authenticity can be verified by Rick Howell. He made about a dozen of them and is not aware of any others still in existence. If youre a serious collector, this board will fit nicely in your collection Like i said....make me an offer....make it solid...and it's yours     Rate post 319890 ! I am leaving CA unbelievably and think it is time to let go of some stuff. I have many sets of wheels mostly Kryptos 80mm various colors but I do have one set of 85mm blue Kryptos. I also have a few sets of 70mm Orange from 1985 era one set were the ones I raced in the X Games. I have two sets of Cherry Bombs both styles. I have two mint XT wheels off road and street. I have one Z-Roller truck the big one with orange roller. I am also selling my EXSkate electric board old style. I paid 1200.00 for it new. I have two chargers for it but it does need new batteries. DeKyser told me maybe $100.00 for the new batteries. Email me if you want any info. BTW I am slowly working on some video. This board is pretty stiff. It is vertically laminated bamboo with carbon fiber and fiberglass. A relic from Comets brief slalom foray. $30 plus shipping (the graphics on the bottom have been slightly altered but can be returned to orginal. I also have a smaller comet stiff flex carbon - graphite - glass stiff flex (and I mean stiff)that is modeled after the late 70's santa cruz graphite slalom board. $50 plus shipping.
