wutup vegas, i'm shouting out from satori wheels and creation skateboards. who's feelin our style out there, no shops are properly representing us. we have a strong following and a dope product line that represents free expression, original style, and cutting edge product concepts. i want to organize some promotion in vegas, anyone know any good contacts? which shops are the best core skateshops? who's down? check out www.satorimovement.com ~peace, jonah 877-772-8674

Yeah Johnny thanks for putting that on. I didn't get to skate due to a broken arm, yeah I was the guy walking around with his left arm in a sling, but I had a great time watching and taking pics anyway. I'm looking forward to the next one when I can hopefully skate. It was great to see Steve Olsen out there ripping it up too!

trucks for your pool board

I used to rock an Eastbilt squaretail that was also a 9x33". Indy 169s fit perfectly with some big spitfires (no offset) but when I stuck some soft noSchoolz on to turn the board into a cruiser I had a fair amount of wheel hanging out past the edge of the deck. I think there's still an Indy 159 which could make a good compromise. cheers and happy skatin

thanks. its funny. for every person who says 169's, i get another person who says 149's. the 169's are closer to the width of the board and the wheels dont look to be offset too much.

Ideally, you'd want the outside edges of your wheels about the same width as your deck. With most wheels, on a 9" deck, you'd want a truck with a 9" axle (Indy 169, Tracker Sixtrack, etc). If you're using significantly wider wheels, or offset/sideset wheels, then you might want to go with a narrower truck...

Chris, check out the Gravity Flow video, if you haven't already. They do some amazing skatepark riding on those long Gravity boards with plenty of air, grinds, board slides, etc. Not sure if I saw any kickflips but I think that they might just be too big to do too many different kick tricks.

i was thinking about getting a 36 inch pool deck by Gravity and i was wondering could i also do tricks with it like kickflips. i like the size but was just wondering because of its flexibility.

Hey Martin, when are you going? If you are going in the Winter, Colorado is usually pretty snow-free, in the Front Range. Lots of Parks. New Mexico has the ditches, and good parks also. I hear Arizona has lots of good parks, and snow is no issue. I fear it's rainy in the Northwest, where the best stuff is concentrated.

Board for Eddie

Eddie, I have been riding a 34" Deathbox David Hackett with Tracker sixtracks and 65 mm ABEC 11 No Schoolz. I have 1/4" risers under the trucks. I'm 6'4" and 210 pounds and 41 years old. I have several other boards but I have found this to be a great set-up for me. It is big and stable (10" wide) and very smooth. I do very tame stuff at the skateparks but believe that the board can handle just about anything. Good luck learning to ollie. Way too hard for me! Rob
