Dec 15th sk8 skate jam Skateboard racing @ the Arbours Well, we were asked to leave the race track on Saturday, due to some lady that just had A bad day, so we ended up at a local school yard, There was a great ramp on the school yard that we used as our start, the asphalt was Perfect, weather perfect, and the skating was very exiting, we traded off the fastest time All morning, with 20 riders it made for a great day of racing, so here are the results:

This year Jay and I wanted to host another end of the year race, but this time we hosted a slalom race with ,kids, woman’s, men’s amateurs, men’s pro and Masters division ,50 and older. Our 1st choice of race sites we got shut down, that’s the risk of an outlaw race, but we always have plan b, c, and some times even d. We ended up racing at one of our local schoolyards, there was a great side walk ramp witch we used as a start ramp, it was about 40 ft long and at the end there were poles that you had to dodge through, then turn to the left and on to the play ground, we set a sort of surf hybrid with a bend to the left, due to the play ground slope went in that direction, at the end you had to make a quick, left turn, go around the back stop, or go on the grass.. LCB came and brought their timing system; CCMF’s timing system went down, so we sent it out to the shop. Tiger and Lynn set us all up, they both ran The system perfectly, special thanks out to you both, the race was a jam format about 1 1/2 hr worth, the end heats for the 1st, 2nd, place were real close, Adrian Pina broke into the 6’s first, then Eric Tokle took over the lead, Floyd and my self couldn’t believe it, Chris Miller with one of his last runs broke in the 6’s as well, Taking the 4th place, at the end of our runs the Thriller over take Floyd for the 1st place, leaving Floyd 2nd, Eric T 3rd,and Chris Miller holds on to the 4th place. Then it was off to the Ranch, skate jam and barbeque, we arrived about 2 o’clock at the Toy Land skate park with great weather and the park was already starting to go off, slowly the skaters started to show up through the after noon, Richard and lacy had the food going, burgers, stakes and there was even deer meat. On the roof of the skate shop/jam room we built a stage for our music, starting out the day we had the Stray Donkeys, full punk rock, the Carneys, The Dirty Pink Slips, an all girl band playing there own style of punk rock, we even had our own heavy metal band with lots of screaming, the head liner band Was our own house band “FOG MACHINE” jamming out the night with there own version of AC/DC, Tom Petty, and the new BLR theme song, The skate contest was great, started out with the kids on the new Toyland Skate Park; they were stoked on the different type of terrain:
Kid Riders: Trinity : backside air over the roll in/ boneless off the parking block ramp Jake : best run/ best use of the park Payton : best roll in Brody : best kick turn on the big wall Drake : best fakie/ best slam OUTLAW RANCH PRODUCTIONS AND CCMF RACING

Masters over 40: John Oshei : best front side grind Jay Lapalm: best rock n roll off the wall Chris miller: best trick Jonny Miller: fastest run through park
Death race: The riders at the time of the Death race had too much to drink, the fire pit was enticing everyone, the ranch was very cold that night, most guys sat by the fire, so just Trinity and myself were the only ones to run the course, we each took a couple of runs and called it good. Just after we took down the cones, John Oshei and DT showed up, by this time it was getting late, Stray Donkey played another set and Oshei and myself had an session all by our self’s, most of the bro’s Had too much to drink, John O had never skated the big wall, so this was a treat, we both had a great session, trading off grinds on the big wall, carving around the park, and trying new tricks As the night got later, the bands stopped, the fire pit became the main hang spot, by this time ice had formed on my drum kit on the roof, so off To Denny’s for late, late night food, now being about 2am Sunday morning, just a few last partygoers around the end of the fire pit, it was time to crash, The next morning we all had a pancake and bacon breakfast at the ranch, the ever body made there way home, thanks to all of you who came and supported our weekend, hope you all had fun, just a little reminder that we had one of our racers go off to the ER for a dislocated knee cap, Chris Leach(LCB) had one nasty crash, all our good wishes go out to you bro, was a pleasure to have you up ,heal up soon, Thanks again, CCMF Jonny Miller

Per Isabelle's instructions, I am re-posting this here.
For those of you living in California, you probably have had the great pleasure of meeting Adam, Kyndra and Kirby Cox at a slalom, downhill, or slide contest. I met them last year, and they are truly a wonderful family.
At the ripe old age of 16, Kyndra is an up and coming slalom and slide Diva, and her 14 year old brother, Kirby, is a budding downhiller, slalomer, and seasoned slider. When Kyndra is not in school, she helps out by working a part-time job in Carlsbad.
Adam is a single, self-employed father, raising his family in Carlsbad. He drives Kyndra and Kirby to all their skating contests, and is usually the one delivering the ramps in his gigantic truck!
Early this morning, I found out from Isabelle that Kyndra had to be rushed to the hospital on Sunday. After a CAT scan and many tests later, Kyndra was admitted into surgery to remove a very large cyst on her ovary that had been causing excruciating pain for quite some time.
While the doctors were in there, they also found a nodule on her small intestine. This was also removed, and is being biopsied by the lab.
Isabelle had the wonderful idea of posting something to help out the family, and I though it was a great idea.
If anyone in our slalom community would like to help the Cox family with medical costs, you can PayPal Adam directly at: jmc.ace@hotmail.com.
Much thanks to everyone.
Kyndra at the 2007 La Costa/Pump Station
Kyndra with all her swag & Isabelle!

Hey Stef. it's a costume jam... come in "disguise", change your name and let everyone know, (nice run "Garth"!!!) Walk with a limp... talk in a real high or low voice... whatever it takes, we want you there!
Plus, we're renting the park, (it's a private party that's open to the public) and I'm of the opinion that I can invite anyone I want! No one has put any restrictions on me regarding who I invite... and YOU my friend are personally invited... I'll see you there!
EVERYONE ELSE... here's your personal invite as well! This is definitely the biggest and best the CCMF Crew has ever produced. It'll be what everyone's talking about! Don't be a loser/poser/non-roller and get your A$$ to SLO this w/e, OK.
And I'll see YOU there too!!

Today Julie, Danilo, Mig and Louis stop by stamford to check the park, they dig it, Mig was doing 360 transfers to handplants to bs grinds, Julie did a full circle grind at the keyhole, Danilo was taking it easy throwing some 720 to tailtap to fakie on the 13ft deep end of the bowl, and Louis took the street course for himself, 360 kickflips to nosemanuals to nollie to nose feeble grinds was his speciality.
on the serious side, they like the park and i was glad they were there, too bad i couldnt stay longer. thanks for coming guys

While I'm waiting for my laundry to dry, here are a few photos of a recent trip to Kansas City. The area around KC has three parks that are well worth anyone's time: Penn Valley (smoooooooth, kink-free Wally Hollyday 'crete), Shawnee, KS (Grindline, I think) and Prairie Village (which I didn't make it to on this trip--also Grindline, I think).
Yours truly, FSG, Penn Valley
The guy who inspired me to keep skating many times, starting way back in 7th grade, Steve Bacon
A little weak on the style, but a nice reverse view of the Shawnee park
Humbled by the Shawnee oververt
Yet another perspective of Shawnee
We skated Independence, MO, Penn Valley and Shawnee all in one day, then drove to Springfield, MO that night and skated that park (Team Pain-built) the next day. For more shots from the same trip (Springfield not yet uploaded), check out http://sports.webshots.com/album/560780465AJVnEI.
