Andrew/et al; a long wheel base set Chicken wing works well. Although I've ridden Sector 9 Goddess board too. Harder duro Manx work as well as Gummies and Sector 9 Goddess wheels. I got a concussion riding 88a Strikers. No word on the ZigZags yet, but I'd bet they'd work too.... Randalls work and so do Radikals. Here's what Racer X rides....

Andrew, You just asked the million dollar question. Even the locals haven't quite figured that one out. A bigger slalom board works good, as does a more agile longboard or ditch board. Abe Towrey put in a competitive time on a standard street board with hard 55mm wheels, but he rips. The nature of the course has you asking that question all day long while you're riding it. At the top you want the agility of a slalom board to be able to pump and carve hard through the tight course. Towards the bottom, where it opens up and gets faster, you're wishing you had more wheelbase. And I still wonder if my times would be faster if I just rode a standard street board like Abe. Probably not.

I've been reading the slalom forum. What a bunch of crap. I think I'll head up to the Native American Institutional Learnign Facility Ditch (NAILFD) and get in a few licks. I have a shuttle driver if anyone is interested...................

Hello to all my fellow ditch skaters. Well I have recently moved to socal and my birthday is this weekend and all I want is SKATE. Specifically a ditch. Any help in finding some ditches to skate in the socal area would be most appreciated. Thanks a crap ton. Save a park ride a ditch.

Indian School is recieving its yearly clean up. The city does this every spring/early summer. Remember the blocks at the foot bridge and the red ones by my house? Both were victims of the cities cleaning efforts. No bobcats please, the city usually takes care of that as well. Also, we do not want any unwanted attention. Remember some of us live here!

Comftorably under a rock for the most part Mr.Palmer ;) But the dark's become a bore now. I'm pale, skinny, and horribly out of shape so it makes perfect sense that I skate. Not to mention, I haven't had any new injuries in a long time and it won't do ;) Always happy to hear you're doing well you mad bomber you. I've been playing in a halfpipe lately Rob. Pray for me.
K, if you're going to be tied to a stake, ask for one through the heart. I hope the theme music to your torture is at least making it bearable. You'll know the natives are truly serious about your pain though if they start handing you Barry Manilow cd's. Wouldn't you have more fun building yourself a spaceship to fly around in? You've certainly got the brains for it.

Soball: Oh, no, it IS a human sacrifice. And I'M the one tied to the stake! It's the students and the other tutors here that are ripping my heart out and sending me down to the firey pits of doom to die a horrible death!!!
Palmer & George: If you guys are going out on Saturday, I guess I'll have to catch up with you on Sunday to find out what you found. You guys wanna meet up at Rio Bravo and decide on a course this Sunday? I can do it alone too, and have you approve the final result at a later date if you want.
I'll e-mail you guy to verify....

Kaylee, I thought you gave up that sacrifice hobby.
I'm sending a rep from PETA over to your house immediately. Or, have you moved onto human sacrifice? LOL
Sincerely, your sis from The Swamp ;-)

Saturday? Oh crap. I thought it was Sunday. Must've been a communication breakdown, going from instant message through the girlie to me. Shoot. I'm a slave to the evil beast of TVI all day Saturday. You'll have to come rescue me if we're going out Saturday. Ever see Temple of Doom? Bring a whip, and just hunt around for the evil sacrifice taking place.

Next thing you know, you'll be waxing the coping of Skate School and whining about the ladder in the deep end of Palmers pool.....
Superasshead, K Lee and the Marshall are checking all three venues on Saturday (including some new alternates). We'll give a full report out on Monday.

Until it rains, then the dirt and will debris will be spread over the entire bottom. Pray for no rain.... and a 30 mph tail wind. How much does a Bobcat cost to rent for the day? Could be worth saving some tired old backs.
