Most people have no idea the level of pain, suffering and disability that my shattered has presented. Not walking for 6 months the year after not walking for six months has knocked me down a few pegs !!! I am half the man I used to be. I feel so brittle its not funny. Just to be there ripping with the best racers on the Planet. COSS has the whole world beat to the ground. You, George Pappas and Zack have just pushed the older COSS guys to a new level. When you said you were taking Jason out on the last run, you meant it. Clean runs win and Jason is still the Champion of GS !!! My glory days are mostly over. Mine were a gift from God. I didn't start racing slalom until I was 36 years old !!! We always knew the kids were going to take it from us. You have bumped me out. I was way more comfortable with 6th place than I would have dreamed. I felt like my old self, but my pump timing is off. We'll see how it shakes out in Sweden. We leave on Tuesday, check out the sites on Wednesday and Thursday, race Friday, hang Saturday and go to Switzerland Sunday - Wednesday. We are so broke its not funny, but after two years on the couch, what the fook. I am really stoked for you Martin !!! You, Zack, Kyle, Joe are the coolest. I hope Ryder is half as cool and nice as you guys. Maybe he can take you out when you are 30 and he is 17. How cool would that be. The circle of slalom life.     Rate post 305693 ! On 6/10/2008 mikemaysey wrote in from United States  (68.4.nnn.nnn) Doing pretty well...trying to keep my chops up on the slalom linx as well as taming the wild surf here in San Clemente. Hopefully Hood will be better for me than JPL was last weekend. That Fadell guy is fast, damn fast...and that Brown Bomber guy, well, he's always a led balloon. Currently, I've got some wheel issues I gotta work out before Hood and I think I'll be back in business. For some reason I got it in my head that the big wheels (75mm) go faster and every time my stubbornness takes over like that, I get beat someone on small wheels...in this case it was two guys on small wheels. I heard the COSS guys prefer to ride the coned versions of their favorite wheels for traction deficient situations so next time I'm going back to basics and busting out my old coned Avalons if I need extra grip which I suspect will be in Hood.
