The first time I heard the term new school was about 1990. Old school, in my opinion, is way more closed minded than the new school. As we stood there and watched a couple of skaters standing behind the tape with their old school Dogtown boards. Fatboy said to me we can be on that side of the tape or we can be on this side. I prefer being in the pit. We are a band of brothers and nothing can break that bond. I was STOKED to be there.
