I haven't had a chance to go through the whole iss. but I'm psyched by what I was able to get to in the new mag. Keep it up. Your efforts are appreciated.
Just one comment on my pet peeve - The spelling errors are still too frequent for a mag as professional as yours.

Mr. Brooke, I really don't know why you want to move over to yet another business. Miele makes long lasting household appliances, yes. I don't know what they are doing right, uhm, ok they have been around for a long time and still manufacture in Germany. They are located further up north, near Gütersloh if I remember correctly. Gütersloh is the home of former Santa Cruz Pro Claus Grabke, but this is off topic here.
I missed some Freestyle.....I guess you have some material..hint hint.

Michael, I got the latest issue here in St. Louis yesterday (Monday)--just behind "zee Chermans." :-) And I promptly forgot to bring it to work with me today to read at lunchtime. D'oh!
It was a pleasure meeting you in N.Carolina. The face looked so familiar...Now I actually know why.
I look forward to reading the new mag--if I can remember how to find my way home, of course.

Michael & Adam, for future reference, please note that I only post from this I.P. and not the 207.200.xxx.xxx one. That is an anonymous troll's doing and not mine. Also, said person used my e-mail address in the post below.

What school are we in....? WE SKATE and have FUN! Younger and older folks are sharing the same hobby / profession, lifestyle or however you want to classify it. In what other sports do you compete with your(or could be your)kids? Sharing the stoke and covering skateboarding's past, current scene and future: CONCRETE WAVE Mag, thanks Michael.
Btw, as a happy subscriber here in Germany, I already have the current issue in my hands. Happy happy....

Buddy, the old/new school things has been around for so many years, how can you believe that the mainstream media in skating is somehow behind it? The first time I heard the term new school was about 1990. Old school, in my opinion, is way more closed minded than the new school. Maybe it is time for you to take some classes.

CW is about documenting everything that is taking place out there in skateboarding. It's taken me a long time to find this groove...thanks to input from readers, I've been able to keep tuning things.
Again, it bears repeating, I'll never be truly satisfied with the mag...and I always want to keep challenging our readership. This issue does this on so many levels.
Thank you all for your patience, input and just plain stoke...

Nice cover shot. I salute you Mike, the mag has come a long way and it is a nice change to see some street action, on the cover no less. Skateboarding is skateboarding. You either get it or you don't.

I look at the new school/old school thing as simply an idea that the current mainstream skateboard market has coined to differentiate any products or riding styles that differ from what the mainstream skate media has defined as skateboarding.

Mike it was a pleasure meeting you bro. I know Joe I and I were really of being excited about being in the pit with the other competitors. As we stood there and watched a couple of skaters standing behind the tape with their old school Dogtown boards. Fatboy said to me we can be on that side of the tape or we can be on this side. I prefer being in the pit. We are a band of brothers and nothing can break that bond. I was STOKED to be there. I may have not been the fastest and time has not been so kind to my knees, but I was there. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws C-Nova St Louis call out in 2007, you can't deny me bro. We have had one to many classic matchups.

It's 100% skateboarding...and as time has progressed, so has the mag...I am comfortable showcasing skateboarding.
it's funny, but every time I veer off the path of skateboarding, I get my fingers burnt...
some examples:
1. music industry...I was a dismal failure 2. office products...two words: NEVER AGAIN! 3. wine business...well, it was fun, but trust me, even I have my limits when it comes to wine! 4. tourism magazine...OUCH
so, skateboarding it is...and skateboarding it will be!
Marion, what a freakin' blast down in Statesville! THANK YOU
