I have been longboarding for 7 months now and I recently went to visit family up in Florida. I found this really great trail to go pumping on however I will be heading back to Cali where I live. so far I haven't found any kool places in cali to skate. I live in the bay area look me up 95129 area code.
sure in my area there are parking lots but they always seem to be packed.
Perhap someone can recomend a great place in the bay area.

As my daughter is too young to post here, I'll do her this favour. She just started out this summer following her two older brothers. The other day she learned to drop in a mini ramp, but right now it's getting colder over here..... http://home.arcor.de/skateyoyo/Clips/Janne_slalom.wmv Here is a link to another clip of her 11 yr old brother: http://home.arcor.de/skateyoyo/Clips/Malte_Sommer2004.wmv

Joe, Sorry to hear about your crash. At least you were skating! From another experienced ligament tearer and bone breaker, if you do what the Sports Medicine doc says, you'll be fine. It's his job to get you back 100%.
You too, Weasel.

The local paper put out an article about the worlds awhile ago. Mentions Ben, Bryan, Kyle, Joe, Katii and of cours little Sarah. They also mention a bunch of the pro's. If anyone wants a copy of it I typed it out so it can be sent. Let me know. By the way next years worlds are gonna be even better there's a huge new cement skate park being build across the street from my house in Los Osos. It's like 10 minutes from Morro Bay. Should be awsome.

It was great seeing all of you who were at Morro Bay this year, in the words of Darth Vader in the 2nd Star Wars film, "Impressive, most impressive". I look forward to when all of you get a few more years and muscle mass and run with the adults. Form is (almost) everything, and most of you are getting that arm swing, crouching and springing/reaching around and through the offsets stuff that a lot of adults back home where I live haven't mastered yet. Thanks everybody-Paul

Phillip, if Slalom is what you're asking about, check out SlalomSkateboarder.com for info. For Luging ,Buttboards, or Standup downhill, there's stuff on this Site's "Links" page, such GSI and ISGA, who are some of the organizations currently putting on races in those venues. Other more informal gatherings of skaters are posted up in the "Events" or "Bulletin Board" topic areas here. "Contests" page, well that's self explanitory.. Be sure to have a Legal Guardian or 'Rent along to sign yer life away if you Race, and have your Safety Gear sorted out.
