Knee Surgery
On 4/25/2005 Cknuck wrote in from Canada  (64.230.nnn.nnn)

Sorry to hear it Eddy!

Don't worry however just take the time to let it heal properly. I've had 4 knee surgeries 2 majors ( full recontructions) and 2 minors. As long as you take care they will likely heal without any problems.

I will advise you not to overstrain the other one as it is a common thing to do. You'll find yourself favouring the injured knee and applying more pressure on the non-injured one. It took me 2 years to rip appart the second knee.

So take Care and stay healthy I was looking forward to seeing this weekend. I guess it will have to wait until the Fall classis is upon us!

Birthday
On 4/25/2005 Eddy wrote in from United States  (207.69.nnn.nnn)

Thanks Ricky + Cliff. Well at the age of 45 years old I am still skating, who would have thought. Now the bummer part of being 45 years old. I found out this week that I tore the meniscus in two places on my left knee. Probably having surgery this week. May bail on the Red Clay Cup. I will miss everyone, especially my teamates. Hopefully I will be racing again soon. Time to eat some Birthday cake. Your Amigo Eddy Texas Outlaws.

Luna Master
On 4/22/2005 Ricky wrote in from United States  (24.164.nnn.nnn)

Master's racing at Luna was a great success.
It was the funnest racing of the day! You should have seen McCree jump the gun in his 2nd race with Keith. Go to www.keithhollien.com to see some of the video clips of the gun jumping and more races.

Eddy Martinez was an honorary master. He was ten days from his forty-fifth birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY EDDY!

Ooooh! So nearly joining the ranks of the Masters...May 5th I will be one of this Elite group. Sadly as far as I know, I'm one of the first Brits in this gang, so I don't really have anyone to chat about the "Good 'Ol Days " with...Any Brits out there?

Martin.

Maters
On 3/17/2005 Claude Regnier wrote in from Canada  (64.230.nnn.nnn)

It's all about enjoying the stoke. Injuries are a part of everyday life, for some more then others. My ankle injury from last June is now finally coming around.

We will have had almost 100 kids thru the doors of my sk8camp this week and my body is aching mostly because I have not been able to sk8 very much due to the ankle injury last year.

Then moving and expanding the sk8park from 3,000 sq. ft. to 15,000 and I am still building because of no financing or strong backing. I have been able to have a few good races over the last couple of years. The stoke of racing no mater who it's against will never die.

So many great people anywhere. Have some fun. This year many more will catch up and surpass many of us. That's fine. That's what it's all about anyway. Pass it on. Show them the way. To many of you I want ti Thank for helping me find my way.

Masters
On 3/13/2005 Cliff Coleman wrote in from United States  (69.3.nnn.nnn)

It's not so bad being a "Master". Age Happens! What's cool? The other day i got into the movies for less money as a senior, 55 and up. I'm retirement age. I can shop at Ross on Tuesdays and get the senior discount of 10%. What's not cool? Aches, pains, body breaking down etc, etc. The only way to beat age is to enjoy all of the years of your life.

SKATE TILL YOU CAN'T,

Cliff Coleman

Someone create a Master Mailing LIst
On 3/13/2005 Scott Johnston wrote in from United States  (66.27.nnn.nnn)

Can someone or can anyone who is interested create a master's email list. If your not up on the posts and something comes up it should be emailed to everyone, we might get more / new riders comming to events. I hoping that maybe we can do some master events this year...You can email me and I be glad to send out info as I learn about it. Anyone got any other ideas....This could also run over to the NCDSA board, I'll bet a newletter could help?

LUNA MASTERS
On 3/10/2005 MCCREE wrote in from United States  (65.41.nnn.nnn)

The last time I raced was in Breck 2004. I am 30 lbs heavier than I was in the 2003 worlds. I was 48 then. I am 50 now. I'm up to 250 lbs.

Time is not on my side. I will be running cones at Luna. I will be partying in Paris.

Time to kick back and enjoy the show.

Keeping the show going is the best contest I can win.

Snow definitely gets in the way of skating. I guess I'll content myself with trying to ollie my longboard in the garage and scouting slopes and skateplaces on the net.;-)
