rodney, actually the whole team, but rodneys footage is exeptionally sick, ride this bank with a 12-15 inch high wall at the bottom.Bt ol school, this 5 foot x quite long, perfectly smooth slab of concrete would be unridable(maybe dropin from the top, once)rodney has an unbelievable number of tricks herem, including a frontside 360 fingerflip, that uses a bit of ollie(of course) to make it work but is essentially an old school trick. Ollie to nosewheelie, heelflip straight from that nose wheelie. There's a bit of "goofing around" footage of the whole team having what appears to be a onefooted tailwheelie contest, heelys,i am physically old:)so i remember it's old name too) daewon and rodney having a handstand time contest sans board, and various members of the team ,learning/tring to learn caspers ,railwalks ,and multi 360's, either that or they wer goofing on rodneys tricksm, though on some level,at some point, it won't be entirely a goof.

25 days and counting since the last post by the illustrious green one(and that was about wheel inventory).I guess it's like that kaffy klatch lady bit on saturday night live, "i'm a bit ferklempt right now, tawk amongst yourselves".Not even the bit of chat on embarassing old pics brought him out, you figure he's gotta have some really corny family pics that never made the mags, something where chris' got even less hair than now:) A bit more seriously, how are those trucks comin?

I remember where I was on the day that rubbers became cushions and when wheelies became manuals. It was pre-HIV.

Since I'm not a vendor of either trucks or bushings, I suppose it would be okay to answer the question where it was posted. If I were to market trucks, they would not be called Abec 11 (see The 22 Immutable Laws of Branding : Law of Extensions). If I were to market trucks, I wouldn't first make bushings that would improve everyone else's trucks and then be the last one in the game. If I were to market bushings, I'd probably have this great sales program called "Buy my bushings for the price of the trucks and get the trucks free".

Then the only question would be, what color do I make the bushings? "

Chris,
Hope you and your family had a great Thanksgiving. I wanted to reinterate what Silversurfer said...Any chance you would look into the bushing biz?

I just got a set of Khiro's to try and I like them but they still are not like the Yellow Stims I just conjured up from a lead giving to me on the Trucks Forum.
I think a Green Bushing from ABEC11 would be the stuff, man. But heck, what do I know, I am an old newbie!
(see posts below and on Truck Review for discussion regarding an idea about ABEC 11 making bushings )

Merry Christmas

Stimulator Bushings
On 11/18/2004 silversurfer wrote in from United States  (24.62.nnn.nnn)

I'm with NCL.

I think that an Abec 11 (or Liquid) truck bushing is a natural product idea
for you.

Many of the skaters who buy Abec 11 wheels are also looking to buy Tracker
Stimulator truck bushings. I guess stims are out of production now and very
hard to find. Apparently green (and maybe yellow) stims had the perfect combo
of great urethane, great shape and just the right durometer.

Everyone knows that Abec 11 has the best urethane, so it would be great if
you made truck bushings. Heck you need to make or buy them for the up coming
Liquid trucks anyway, right?

There is a fair amount of competition in the bushing market but no one seems to
have quite matched the original Tracker Stimulator.
Apparently Tracker can't or won't reproduce and reintroduce them.

Chris what do you think?

76mm Flywheels and 66mm Strikers
On 11/5/2004 Chris Chaput wrote in from United States  (66.116.nnn.nnn)

Hey Guys, Sorry I've been away for so long. The tooling is done for both the 76mm Flywheels and the 66mm Strikers. As a matter of fact, I have some of the 76mm Flywheel prototypes on a 45" MasterCarve deck with R-IIB trucks and it's a pretty sweet combo. That's the good news.

The bad news is that it is already November and sales tend to drop as fast as the temperature in many parts of the world. It's hard to stock every wheel in every durometer and right now, I don't have any of the 66mm Strikers just yet. I'm doing the best that I can to get everything out there, but it takes lots of green to make lots of green, if you catch my drift. I hope to have at least small quantities of everything before the year end. Preorders anyone?

On a different subject, my parents just brought out the sidecar from Colorado and I got the leading-link front forks from the UK earlier this week. I've removed the sidecar from the chassis, where I'll be mounting a platform and fender for camera work. I'm also adding heavy-duty suspension, a low CG tire and steering dampening for better performance. It should be ready to rock and roll by next week. Weather permitting, I'd like to try to video some downhillers who are drafting a cameraman positioned over the tire and fender. Nothing to fast and no turns at first. We'll get more daring as the skill and trust level increase over time. Should be fun.

hOW To SloW DOwN AT SPEED
On 11/2/2004 KLUDY wrote in from United States  (216.70.nnn.nnn)

I would like to share. If you are going to fast to stop and a luger or car does something you where not ready for, this is what you do.! always look way ahead and look at what the movements ahead of you are doing. That luger that put his feet down and the skater had to hit the rail.I did do that alot with waldo, not hit the rail or anything but because I knew him I always looked for him to do something out of the norm so I always as roofing would be looking for a way out at all times. If you skate a hill alot you should know it well and can slit hairs to get by a rider, car or luger. If riding with others you will see a foot move or a hand get tight or his or her head move. You can pull your arms out alittle or alot to slow to react with out losing to much speed, dont stand-up. The lower you are to the ground the easyer it is to move or even jump off the board befoure you get close to hiting something.I know I have to much time on my hands now but it sure is fun typing it.Draft and pass next time unless chris beats me to it, see we are still racing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
