What is a streetluge anyway

Hey Chris, At my first public show during Jet Wars at the dragstrip, the announcer asked the crowd of 20,000 or so to show hands if they knew what a streetluge was. Less than 10% of the drag race fans raised thier hands. He then said "Ok....then.... how many of you would like to see a reeeeally fast skateboard that this guy lays down on?" The crowd went nuts. Through the interview the crowd was introduced to "streetluge" and all of the gravity sports that we participate in. SO, typically the initial introduction of the Jet Luge is now described as an elongated skateboard with a jet engine on it. Hey give me a break.. at least I standup skate the thing in through the pits and in the staging lanes up to the start as seen in this promo video Click here for link
Chris hit me up when you have the time... there is alot more going on than meets the public eye..

are those out yet?available? they sound tasty.A scaled up (75-76m) grippin would make a cool replacement for the gumball,if you really like gumballs you could trim the back lip a bit.

You da man Bob! It sounds to me like advertising a Jet Powered "streetluge" was an uphill battle, and that people understand what a "skateboard" is. That's fine with me, as long as they're diggin' what you're doing, taking pictures and viseo, and talking about you. Sponsors love those who promote themselves and you're doing a great job of it. Keep up the great work and let me know when there's more rubber than urethane left on your hubs.

As you all know, November 11th (11/11) is a huge holiday in Surf City (Huntington Beach, CA). The entire city has basically been closed for about a month now, and I'm just now able to surface from a brutal schedule. Lectures, talk shows, television and film crews have been hounding me for interviews and sound bites. It's as if all of Southern California is celebrating "Leven" (that's how we say it in the South), and now that New Orleans is blown away, this is America's Mardi Gras.
Green hats, green masks, green beads, green shoes, green clothes, green hair, and green teeth can be seen lining all the streets, and occupying every cafe's seats. It's both a sea of green, and an Ocean's Eleven. Twice on 11/11, at 11:11:11am and 11:11:11pm, bizarre green rituals are performed on Main Street, at the base of the pier. Green jello cocktails and other jiggly libations are poured in, on and around all of the gorgeous young girls in the area, making a kind of "Girls Gone Green" scene while the cameras are rolling.
It may take me a bit longer to recover from all of the intense festivities, and as soon as I do, I'll do my best to get caught up on all of the posts that I've missed.
Until then, carry on my Eleveneers. Full Speed Ahead.

i swore i had a return post in there , and that newest post seems to answer something that's not there anymore, and i didn't even actually swear. I looked up how top make dw wheels and you still need a special axle. I do think that a single wheel that big on a single core with only two bearings would probabely be a engineering mistake not to mention very expensive.

the axles are the part that makes them, very special long axles(geezer) ,buy two sets of wheels stack some spacers between them and there you go. Now , that much urithane around a single special core, and running on a single pair of bearings, doesn't sound much like a production item to me,and possibly not even a good idea ,engineering/physics ect ect..

Chris,
Rizzo and JM will be competing Dec 3rd in Oceanside. Maybe their friend Noah Sakamoto? They need some slide wheels and Rizzo ripped on yours in BC in May. There is about $1450.00 in the purse at the moment. Skaters from BC, Montreal, NY, AZ, Brazil and who knows where will be competing. Info on the Contest Calendar.
Chris, come on down,
Cliff

Think about it: "Chris Chaput on Speed".
I shudder when thinking what that would be like.
Chris, this is a call-out to you, BIG THANKS from the entire class at UCSD's Longboard Building 101! Once again, you spent an entire day teaching and energizing new skaters, not to mention setting them up with the finest of equipment at "educational discount" prices that would cause eyes to pop.
Just put down the RedBull and step away...

Hey man I have a flexdex 40 inch Wingnut Model, and I used to run gumballs and it and loved the ride. I had some r2 180's, with yellow stims and I believe only 1/8th inch risers. It is a good ride that I would recomend to anyone.

why would you want to go slower? how bout footbraking or finding a mellower hill... or a hill with a runnout and not starting at the top and working your way up as you get comfortable..
i know i know I probably can have those question answered if I thread the post and not the titles just fellin a bit lazy now.

I just finished a set of dbl wide flash backs and 83 fly wheels. I still need to do the work on my trucks before I can give them a test. I realy think that the dbl wides will change the game again allowing you to stick your line(go faster) than ever before on tech courses.
