Thanks soooooooo much for the hook up on the Ditch Killer. Would not have made it down the ditch without it.

Always great to see BLR anywhere, anytime. You guys make events fun. Thanks to Hackett, Olson, Fadell and the other BLR's for coming out. It was an honor.
Sorry about the loss of your friend Fausto. If you are a skateboarder, Fausto touched your life and that's the bottom line.
See you guys next year, hopefully sooner.
@ Olson - Thanks for throwing beer at me from the footbridge, bitch. SUCK IT! :)

RAD shots, HACK!
As far as pads go, to each their own. On small terrain, I rarely ever have to kneeslide... I'm better off just running it out. But you're right about learning to kneeslide. It takes some concentration because I don't always utilize it. Thank God I have the sense to wear 'em in the bigger stuff. Otherwise, my knees would be toast and I probably wouldn't be skating.

I hate pads. Always have - Always will. I consider doing a proper knee slide an actual trick. After spending a good 10+ years running out of everything- Doing a knee slide does not come easily or naturally for me. I have to think about it.
I spent many, many sessions trying stuff without pads as seen here in this early Andrecht (Before Andrecht) invert- Back then it was called a Jay Adams!
Besides, pads look LAME! They can also hinder your flexibility, and actually make you eat sh!t!
In the photo above, is where pads are a good idea- 40MPH down Indian School Outlaw Ditch Race- Full Face helmet, Leather Jacket, WristBrace Gloves, and Knee Pads- This is where Pads actuall Look Good!
In the end, nothing beats the look of Scralping with no pads.

I just wanted to drop by and say thanks to Mr. Hackett. The core members of the downhillbillies just spent 4 days training with Chris Barker. Khiro Bob and Mr. Hackett sent lots of cushions, risers and hardware for all the dhb. With C-barks help we learned a lot about setting up out boards and adjusting them for different courses. We ran a Thursday night downtown urban course, complete with sidewalk transitions and manhole covers. Friday night was a outlaw hybrid at Kamperworld followed by two days on the soapbox derby hill at hobby park. Everyone survived and we all improved.
So Thanks again to Khiro Bob and Mr. Hackett for the hook-up, you guys f $ # @ ! n g rule!
Hope you leg heals fast. later, sst downhillbillies east coast chapter

Dave, Dude that looks rough bro. Here's to a speedy recovery. I am with Christian on the power of prayer and it looks like someone was looking out for you because based on the location of that bruise it could have been seriously worse!
Also, props on bringing Fadell into the fold. Dude, is the real deal and a great guy to boot. Can bring it too.
