Purple Skunk has everything and they are really nice too if you go there. They've got about 40 boards you can try before you buy and they'll custom make anything and even do cool designs with the grip.

Blades NYC vs Purple Skunk

The Blades selection sucks compared with that at the Purple Skunk. Blades won't let you custom make boards either. But if you're stuck in NYC looking for boards, Blades is not bad. If you know what you want, order it from the Skunk because it kicks ass.

They carry like 5 kinds of longboards, all from shortboard companies, and S9. Randall RII's are part of the stock, but not much variety on the wheels. This shop has a huge old school section, but they really dont give a shit about longboards. Not to mention that the employees are KOOKS! Is there a better shop in Portland? CAL SK8 get yer shit together!

I was this close to ordering a Tahoe 52", but I went down to the only shop in town that carries longboards, Crescent Downworks, and talked to Steve, the guy that runs the place. He's a shortboarder, and admitted he didn't know much about longboards, but he went way out of his way to help me out even though the shop was busy. He didn't cop an attitude or play the cool guy personna or anything. Anyway, the only thing he can get is Sector9, so I ordered the Supercruiser. It's supposed to be here Monday. Just wanted to give some props to Steve for taking some time to help me out. I definately would've ordered a different board if he wasn't so willing to go out of his way.

New place I've only been in a couple times. For a while, the other local shop, Smoked Monkeys, looked like they were going to shut down. Now Bend has a little bit of selection. Both places sell S9s (bit whoop), though Smoked Monkeys also has some other longboards (Scott Custom Boards og out of Hawaii, now out of Bend, OR). If anyone stops through central oregon, I'd recommend stopping into both places to say hi.

I just learned that Purple Skunk has always offered their products via mail order. And their site was just updated with even more long decks, trucks, and wheels. Truly the Bay Area's best longboarding shop.

This is the worst skatestore i`ve ever been to! They don`t know a shit!! They used an hour removing a pair of trucks of the deck i`ve bought! They say that they has been skating for 20 years but they don`t even know how to remove a pair of trucks! He used chainsaw, drill and hammer when they tried! What a crappy store!!!!

Its an awsome shop in general. They have some great surfboards, and plus they shape their own. And a treat if you are a real hardcore longboard surfer, they have like a 10 foot mahogany board. In longskates, they have bunches of Sector9s floating around, some Flexdecks and some really cool local boards. And they even have shortboards.
If your in the area check out this really cool shop. THey got everything you could need if your a surfer and some little helpers for skaters
(and even better) NO BLADES!!!!!!!!!!!
