Question, does anyone in Colorado know if they carry Aluminators, Randal trucks etc? I`m talking about the big one in that Mall off of I-25 South. I know they had a bunch of longboards last time I was there.

Evolve (Annapolis) is the only shop I've been to that carries more than just Gravity boards in-store. They have at least 6 different longboards set up to try, but I don't know if you can take them outside. They have s-9, Envy, Gravity, & a few Powell pool dex. They will order stuff for you too. Go to www.evolveboards.com. The website isn't so great yet, but I think it's new.

This is an excellent shop! They have been hooking me up with a nice student discount (20%-25%). They have excellent service. They are mainly new school performance type shop, but they do have some long decks and plenty o' wheels in stock. I am getting them to check on an S9 cosmic 2 for me right now. Here are some of the deals I've gotten or been quoted... Killer etnies indy sneakers --- 30$ Set of wheels (78a 65mm) --- 20$ Abec 5 Bearings --- 9$
Their number is listed under Endless Grind if you search yahoo yellow pages. I checked for your benefit and they can do orders around the country etc. Very high recommendation!

I know a lot of people out here in Montreal think that Spin is one of the best skateshops out here in Montreal. But I'm here to give a huge plug to what I think is another great shop that carry snow and sk8 stuff. While they might not carry too many brands, DIZ still carry a cool selection of S9, Flexdex, Black Label, Randall 2's and Power Paw's just to name a few. Their prices are amazing. At the end of this snowboarding season, I got a Ride Concept board, Ride SL stepins and Ride stepin vapours boots for $850 tax included. Haven't bought any sk8 stuff from them yet because of a freak snow this week, but if you don't pay at least 15% less for snowboarding equipment there than at any other store in Montreal, you must have pissed them off. I just called them up and they told me they'll be selling randall 2's for ~75CAN a pair which is already a good price if you were to compare with online prices plus shipping but to date they have never charged me their sticker price anyway. They're also very honest. I first went into their shop not knowing anything 'bout sk8ing and while they could have sold me any darn thing and made a quick buck, they told me to come back later when their new shipment arrives and they could set me up with something more appropriate for me. It's at 48 Westminster N. tel# (514)486-9123. They don't pay me to say this so check it out yourselves to find out.
I'm almost certain that if you walk into the shop, introduce yourself and tell them you heard all these good things about them, you'll start a great relationship with that store and never visit another.

ok, this is a small little local shop where I've been getting all my gear (other than my randals). This is a great place, good service, getting lots of longboard stuff in (world industries, sector 9, gravity, gordon & smith, satalite.. getting more in soon) a tad cheaper than you usually find online, and great service and good conversation to boot! definitely check it out if you're in the area.

This shop is the best I've seen. Stuff is pretty decently priced. Most of the guys are friendly and they seem to know what they're talking about. They sell mostly Sector 9, but I also bought a LIB Technologies longboard there, so they do occasionally have other brands.

Saw this place right outside of Robb Field (where the new skatepark is in Ocean Beach). Carries some longboard decks that I haven't seen in other shops. Decks by Sector 9, Dregs, Bareback, Flexdex, and G & S Fibreflex. They also had a Freebord (FB100). It's on the corner of West Point Loma Bl. and Bacon in Ocean Beach.

I got a set of Gravity Super-G's here. They put them on my board, and put spacers and washers on there for free when I asked. They even had the correct spacers for the Super G's (they're smaller than 10mm, maybe 8mm, I dunno). This is also where I got my randal II's for only $20 each (though they didn't have any when I was there yesterday). It's on the boardwalk at Mission Beach, check the place out!

Slam,
I talked to my friends about Thrifty Stick, and turns out they are really good friends with the owner, (who is also the girl behind the counter). She started her shop out of her apartment closet! I'd say she's done pretty well. She also lives in a loft right next to mine downtown. She's told me about parking garages and other skating areas in Denver. E-mail me if you wanna ride.

Customer service means a lot to me, and you can't do much better than longskate.com. Rene set me up with a killer deal and threw in a bunch of freebies, too. The board came in the three days he said it would and was set up perfectly.

Hey all,
I had the chance to go to a skate shop here in Denver CO over the weekend called Thrifty Stick. This store is rad. Of course it has mostly snowboard stuff there now, but I asked the girl there, Kendra, (Extremely cool chick) who I find out is also the owner, about their longboard selection.
It's really limited right now, but she said this March they're going to turn their skate focus to longboarding. She mentioned getting Dregs boards too. Sounds like a shop with their heads on straight!!

Keep 'em! Both the red and white Aluminators say"78A" on the sidewall. But the white ones are actually 74A, as are the standard Power Paws. So you did get the right wheels.
