This shop has two, $99, longboard completes, shop demos.
Both are in good shape (for demo boards). Both over 40'', both under 63''. Trucks and wheels are blanks, decks are "branded".
Post back if anyone wants more info.

few weeks ago, spent the entire morning testing out nearly every long & slalom board they had on the walls. "yeah, take 'em for a ride," i was encouraged. 'round the corner there's a 100-yard sidewalk w/ slight decline & quasi-banks (driveways & stair inclines). wendell & staff are some of the coolest & down-to-earth people you'll ever meet. knowlegeable w/ best customer service of any skate shop i've ever been to (& i'm from san diego). good vibes, even when the place was packed w/ customers to attend to. a must-see for norcal skaters or those just rolling through.

Just went to cruise Santa Cruz this weekend and there are more shops that are picking up more LB stuff. Went into three and they all had decks, trucks, and completes. I think this thing is catching on!

Surf Colorado is the only place to go if you want to support the sport and it's progression. Got to say thanks to Bruce for hooking everybody up. It's a skate shop run for people like us, by people like us.

East Coast Boarding Company in Fairfax, VA had a few Sector 9 park longboards a few weeks ago. Evolve in Bethesda, MD also might have a few. It should be easy to find a shop in Jacksonville that has some park boards.

Anyone know of any shops that sell longboard components in the Kona/Jacksonville/St.Augustine Florida area (or anywhere along the i-95 DC-FL "corridor")? I'm looking for a "park-deck" that's at least 38" long and has at least 21" truck-hole wheelbase and perhaps a set of center-set 65mm wheels. I'll check the archives, but would appreciate any info from anyone, I'm leaving tomorrow (Thursday).

Hey JR- I have yet to make it over to ERW (just found out about em), but Cal's Skate shop is prety cool. Mostly short boards, but a fair number of long stuff too, along with actuall long board trucks and wheels. They might even have some slalom stuff, but its been a while. Also Cal's Pharmacy, but they don't really ahve a clue (cheap grip though).

I was in San Diego for spring break and after craving a customized board for a while I went a-shopping. Like Cheshirepus said, Hamel's has an excellent selection including $40 R-IIs and Kryptos. Also, since I was not interested in buying a whole Sector 9 setup the dude said he'd just take the deck I want and build it right there for me.
As cool as that sounds, I went to Mitch's Surf Shop in La Jolla, where the atmosphere is less touristy. Mitch is the nicest dude, and so is Carter, the dude who setup my mail order. Buying it from Mitch's was definitely worth the wait, that's the kind of place where you go in and they know your name. The fat guy with the mustache at Hamel's probably doesn't know a whole lot of customer names, ya know?
2 thumbs up to rad customer support at Mitch's, kudos to good selection at Hamel's.

Yeah I know you all probably know about Hammels, but I'm sounding out anyway. If anybody in the area knows how to do downhill/longboarding, it's Hammels. They're the only local place I've been able to find Randal Trucks and Kryptonics wheels. They also have a wide assortment of Sector 9 and Gravity boards, along with a few other creations that somewhat resemble a longboard of some sort. Best thing is, is that right after you put a board together, you only have to take 5 steps (literally) out the door and BAM, there's the boardwalk right on the ocean where it's just asking to get carved up.
