Purple Skunk is a skateshop that follows the oldschool creedo of "we're skaters too...we understand you...in fact, we LIKE you!" It was refreshing and inspiring to deal with Lizzie, Rodney and the crew. They hooked me up with the deck of my dreams, shipped to my military mailing address fast, and with style (extra stickers addded!) and were always super cool and fun to deal with.
From here on out, Im keeping it real and keeping it Purple! Lifetime customer, baby!

Excellent service. Great Prices. Sound advice. Very friendly. Parcels are wrapped carefully. Emails are answered in a flash. You get that works!!!
I purchased a landyaztch evo, 85mm kryptos and stainless-steel deck bolts from PURPLESKUNK.COM Check their prices out - they're good. When you consider the amount of service you get from PURPLESKUNK.COM, you feel like you should be paying more. Lets face it, anyone that has purchased online knows that it can be painful if you go to the wrong place.
I got my skate sent to Australia. PURPLESKUNK.COM is the only online store that i know of that links you up with a daily parcel tracking website through u.s.postal service. I knew exactly where my parcel was everyday!!
Oh! Dont forget to look out for Lizzie @ PURPLESKUNK.COM, she's a gem!!

Have not posted here in awhile. Thought I would give another plug for our new DVD The Rebirth Of Skateparks. I guarantee that anyone who apreciates the history of skateboarding will be extremly stoked on what we have put together. No budget, a labor of love , and the end result gives us a great look back on our past and our future. Stop by and check out the 2 trailers and to see how I have been keeping busy building the skateshop I have wanted since I was 10 back in 76.
Enjoy

My first skateboard had clay wheels, urethane came out a year later. Anyway I dropped by the Purple Skunk skateboard shop today while in San Francisco with my ten year old son Timmy. I saw a lot of used skateboards on the wall with dirty wheels and was a little confused. The staff was in the back busy building boards, but took the time to greet me and let me know they would be happy to help me when I needed it. My son and I looked at all the "sick" boards for a while, when Lizzie as I came to know her had us grab a couple of boards, which all turned out to be demo's. We cruised on 22nd Ave @ Geary and my son Timmy tried board after board. Lizzie kept bringing us boards. She was so nice. He got set up with a Vangard flexie, randall 150 trucks and biltins with gumballs 78a. My son actually got to help build the board. All my questions were answered with the upmost patience. I have been to many skateboard shops and I have never seen one come close to being anywhere near as good as the Purple Skunk. Timmy got a free magazine and I saved a lot of money. It's 8pm and Tim wants to go outside and ride in the dark on his new board. Thanks Lizzie and crew.

NY Pipe Dreams (York Ave. @ 85th. 212 535 7473) has a few longboard completes and usually one lonely slalom set up.
Paragon Sports (Bway & 18th 212 255 8036) has longboard completes and some parts.
Central Park has a few hills and is car free during posted hours. The race next Sat. is a good time

Yeah, a friend and I went to Purple Skunk today and it's quite possibly the best shop ever. The employees are hella chill and are knowledgeable about everything, you can demo boards for free (I don't know a single store that demo's), and their prices are pretty solid. You might be able to find a cheaper set up online, but if you go to their store, you'll be able to get a set up fit for you frame, style, and needs. It's a kick ass store period

As a lost and confused Canadian, I was lucky enough to stuble into the Purple Skunk when I was passing through San Fransisco looking for a Longboard. Lucky, because I now have a board that is actually perfect for me. I came to recommend the place and it looks like everyone else who's been there had as an amazing time as I did.
Go to the Skunk, and you WILL get the board that you didn't even know you wanted. (Then you'll want to go back again because everyone there is so incredibly cool.) Lizzie, Eli, Yong-ki and Rod - Thanks, you're all so damn amazing that I don't know what to say.
I honestly want people to go to the Skunk because there aren't enough skateboarders in this world.

Well, everything you've read here about Purple Skunk is right. They really are that good. I'm currently living on a small portuguese island, and it is very hard for me to get much in the way of skate gear for my boards. I was turned on to Lizzie and her crew by others in the skate community and I couldn't be happier. BY FAR the best customer service I have experienced in this industry, and I've dealt with many of them. Extremely prompt responses, detailed explanations and recommendations and all around friendly attitude. This is the kind of place that makes you realize why you love this sport. Thanks Lizzie and crew.

Lizzie, Eli and the whole team at Purple Skunk are one Class Act! I was at the shop today and they are clearly the best when it comes to Customer Service and Product Knowledge. If you ride longboards they have more decks to pick from then anyone I know. Check them out at: http://www.purpleskunk.com/

My girlfriend has seen me looking at the LANDYACHTZ *EVO* 41.5" TIME BOMB for a month now. Little did I know she had already contacted Lizzie and the purple skunk crew to fix me up. I was sitting at home around 4:15pm, and I heard a rapping at the door. Opon opening the door I handed a nicely packed box. My suprise came when I opened the package. After getting through the awsome packing job I saw my dream board. It was freaken awsome!!!! I mean my hands were shaking and everything. My girlfriend told me that she called Purple Skunk and they gave her such awsome customer service. We want to take a trip the the store and get a feel for the area. If every shop was like Purple Skunk the whole world would board. I will never go through another shop for my longboard or any board needs. Thanks Purple Skunk for putting a dream board under my feet.

Just got another perfect order from Lizzie, Eli, and everyone else at Purple Skunk. Eli even called me to verify a couple of things, and gave me some great advice on picking the right wheels for sliding. Everything showed up today, and I'm going out to skate.
If you're in SF, you gotta check out the demo boards!

I dont think you got scammed. Call them up and talk to them. Leave messages if thats possible.
Your credit card company (visa/mastercard) will help you dispute your compliants if your board doesnt show up.
Your credit card should have fraud protection too.

Did I get scammed?

I recently bought a board from www.dregsskateboards.com and I got a confirmation e-mail that said my purchase was done properly or what not and then an e-mail the following morning telling me my package was shipped.
The thing I found odd was that there were no shipping charges, I was only charged the $149 for the board. Not only that, but on the shipping e-mail it said Tracking Number: and then there was a blank as if to say there isn't a tracking number.
I e-mailed dregs twice and they still haven't responded and it's been a week. I also went to www.2co.com (the place that manages dreg's shipping and sales and other stuff) to look up my order number but the number I was given doesn't match up to their numbering system (mine is a set of 7 numbers while their's is a set of 5 numbers, a hyphon, and then a different set of five numbers) so I tried looking for my last four digits of my credit card and that also wasn't found...
Has anyone else shopped at dregsskateboards.com or 2co.com?

Just happened to pass by the Skunk on the way to dim sum at Ton Kiang and drooled at the store on the way...went back and was floored by all the incredible demo boards and the mellow staff who let me ride all the boards. I was hooked by the Landyahtz Dh but could not believe it could get better...well it did they let me try the same board with different wheels and bearings! They were right on!!! Sweetest ride ever and just like a kid again! Big shouts for the PURPLE SKUNK

PC Park & Ride - This winter saw our first season as a Snowboard shop and it was an unquestionable success. For the summer we will be operating as a Skate shop. Of course, partly because of my background, I will be pushing the Slalom/Longboard/Old school end of the market too. You can find us at www.pcparkandride.com or call 1-435-940-0140.
Our plans also include having a Demo fleet and running "Club" evenings to help create a scene out here in Park City, Utah.Who knows we might even hold a race in summer '07...
