Dave,
Actually DT and Paul were also there. We had to leave Roger alone early, to tend to our families and i also had some painting to do. I was hoping that you and Glen would have came up earlier, like you use to do. Maybe next time. Aloha.

Micheal, I was gonna call you to p/u the timing system, but we got a late start out of Diego and I did'nt want to take time to stop again.
Maybe we do Dump Rd too often these days, the crew gets smaller & smaller. Not even a DT sighting and he lives 5min away.
Anyway, yesterday was a ton-a-fun. We got there and there was this family with some sort of sit down scooter they crafted and were bombing the hill on. Little kids! It was so cool. They had this huge Ford van that fit everybody and for several hours gave us all rides back up the hill. There was a big tailwind, so the speedboarding was very fast for Dump Rd. I worked on my slides alot and left alot of green urethane on the hill. Jesse from Kryptonics came out with some expiermental sliding wheels they had just poured. They were awesome. Slide great, but not chattery. I was able to fakie Coleman on them.
Thanks to everone that came out; Marc, Roger, Jesse, Eric, RJ, Gorman and the family w/the van.

Awe man Dave, that pool contest sounds pretty cool. If I hadn’t broken my ankle, I might’ve even had a reasonable shot at winning the 1-wheeler and longest carve contests. Of course I probably would’ve gone on to break my ankle during the freestyle contest while doing one of my “shortest, sharpest carves”. But, All Is Life. I might be able to volenteer some help if I can get back on my crutches again, as long as it involves sitting down. I'm refraining from using the crutches at the moment, due to a repetitive stress injury they gave me.

I'll be there with cones and leathers, ready for some bombing and slalom. Chalk marks should still be there for last week's GS course followed by a new "speed slalom" section near the bottom of hill. Take turns driving up the course, lets get some runs going!

Press Release (cut down)
On June 9, the Surfrider Foundation proudly presents the June Jam at the Vans Skatepark. The day-long event, which will take place at the Potomac Vans Skatepark outside of Washington, DC, is a skate contest, fundraiser and information session.
The skate events will be held in the large kidney-shaped pool and on the street course. The high-speed pool rippers will compete in freestyle, one-wheelers, and to see who has bragging rights to the longest carve. Over on the street side, the technical gurus of skating will compete in a freestyle session and to see who has the highest Ollie in all the land.
The June Jam contest is open to sponsored skaters, amateurs, women, grommets and more divisions to be announced. Prizes will be offered in every division and of course there will be raffles and swag to be had for a lucky few non-skating attendees. More information and event scheduling can be found on www.skateboardmadness.com, or by contacting Surfrider member Dave Riordon (driordon@earthlink.net).
The Surfrider Foundation is a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Started in 1984 in Malibu, California, the Surfrider Foundation has proven to be an effective grassroots environmental organization. The Foundation has 25,000 members, is represented by 45 national chapters dispersed along the East, West, Gulf, Puerto Rican and Hawaiian coasts, and has branches in four foreign countries. Marc, Unlike Chaput I do work (sometimes) I own a vintage VW Parts bussiness so I have to set up my complete booth this weekend at the Pomona Automotive Swap. This is to promote my annual Ed Economy all VW & toy's & literature show on SAT 9th Crown Plaza Hotel NewPort Beach (come by have a beer) backed up on Sun 10th The world's largest all VW car show at Irvine Meadows which I have promoted for the last 13 years. This is a great place for me to sell my long boards the place is so big that everybody wants a board to ride. So I will be gone for the next two weekends (Bummer) semi working, skating, and like always drinking

Misterbill- Hey, while you are in Seattle, why not runs some cones! I am always looking for people in this area to ride with. Anyone around Seattle want to run cones? Contact me! The parking lots north of Husky Stadium at the University of Washington seem to be a great place to set up some cones. Generally I will be there Sunday afternoons - look for the green cones! Misterbill, I know that Sunday won't work for you, but next time you are in the area, bring your board and lets ride!

Kaylee,
Your probably hearing about a 3 day run outside of Albuquerque for the luge racers... Contact Justin at Team Nemisis to get onto the mailer. You can also hit some of the luge message boards for more info. Subterfuge has one that gets fairly regular updates.
I think it started yesterday or today... HR

SF Sunday Slalom

Conflicting schedules have sidelined the slalom session in Golden Gate Park for next sunday. We will be postponing one week till the following sunday, the 10th I believe. For those that want to meet in the east bay and run some cones this sunday ( Adam, HC ? ). I will be in seattle till friday night, so I won't respond until then if you send me anything. I was thinking we could find a good spot in south hayward or fremont, that way it would be half-way between Adam in Oakland and HC in San Jose. And its real close for me too !;) You guys pick a time frame and I can find us a good smooth stretch of asphalt. If you want to do some weekday evening runs, I know where there is a triple tennis court in a nice neighborhood in south hayward that has lights and is open for us to use almost anytime except the weekends(busy!). A perfect surface, I have skated it many times.

Is anyone aware of a race being planned for the Sandia Mountains near Albuquerque, NM sometime this summer? I've heard rumors of Biker Sherlock's envolvement, but I can't get a straight answer. I sure would hate to miss out on a race in my own backyard just because the shop owners in this town are dipsticks, there's never any announcement of these kinds of things. Any hints or rumors would be appreciated, thanks.

Yup, lets do another dump this Sunday.
The Gravity team made a few changes to the course at the end of the day. It is so much better and faster now, getting closer to 30mph. You can take the turns wider to keep the speed down, or push hard at the start and get into a tuck for the most of it. Your right Micheal, I'm love'n it now!
I only got two runs on the new course before it started to drizzle and got very slippery. I wanted to ride it more so I chalked it up pretty heavy and want to get back before it is washed away.
