sat would be a stretch for me since I don't hit IAD untill 5pm and my Moms will be itching to 'catch-up'. I think Sunday PM would be do-able.

Bringing the Comet DonO w/fulltrack front & Indy offset rear, 88aF/84aR Stingers.

Saturday Night Park and Race
On 5/17/2002 GBJ wrote in from (68.49.nnn.nnn)

I'm busy through the day on Saturday, but am definitely in to a Saturday night Park and Ride session. Hamm... the Park and RACE is, literally, part of the highway interchange property where I-270 crosses Quince Orchard Rd. (Md. 124). Find that interchange and you find the spot. Weather looks Fall-like. It may dry up by tomorrow evening, but it'll be chilly. If we can't skate tomorrow night, we can have a go on Sunday. I can definitely make it. Anyone else?

Here a good plan...Big Save the 'Crete espression session/ banked slalom jam/contest/awareness thing....Lets have a big summer contest far enough ahead that the west coast guys can be hear. Weekend thing Lansdowne sat/ Gaithersberg slalom race sun.....Many so we can show the local gov, that Lansdowne matters. Also have everyone on this site from all over the world wib web, email us and print all the emails and present them to the Baltimore CO. offical, that we will can and invite to the contest. We can also call all the local media and get some Longboarder mag people I know to come up and write the story on the weekend...Our time to shine, whats up DR? maybe you AC? I can't full blown do, so busy look'n for Skye and work'n. But I can do tons don't get me wrong. Well lets start bouncing this around and see what happens......

I'd be up for some local G'burg skating this weekend. Hamm, I use La Costa 92's and Stinger 84s on my deck. Bring a hybrid or tight deck for Park and Race. I still don't have one,and just slog around on a big ol Gary Cross. I've got a 14 yr old daughter and an 11 yr old son.

What duro Stingers work @ the Park & Ride?? I'll most likely have my 4yr old in tow, any of you guys got kids??

This Sunday, May 19th, is downhill day at West LA College. Racing for luges, bikes, and inline downhill. Practice for slalom for those that like. I think Frank is interested in GS practice, too. June 30th is the first slalom racing of the season. If your not on my email for updates, please contact me. Scott

DC Summer Outlaw Series
On 5/11/2002 Brian Parsons wrote in from (152.163.nnn.nnn)

All East Coast Slalom racers take a look at the proposed schedule for the DC Outlaw Summer Series. Due to the success of our Winter Slalom racers and to keep the momentum going from the fun all of us had at the 2nd Gathering, I thought we should try this again.

Same format as we used this Winter. No permission or permits, skate at your own risk.

DC OUTLAW SUMMER SERIES

4 -5 race season starting in June ending in September.

Tentative dates (weather permitting)
June 1st – Gaithersburg Park and Race
June 29th – Gaithersburg Park and Race
July 27th – Gaithersburg Park and Race
August 17th – Gaithersburg Park and Race
September 7th – “FINALS” Gaithersburg Park and Race

To avoid the hot temperatures during the middle of the day, racing will begin at 5pm.
Longboard Slalom - Practice 4-4:45pm
Longboard Slalom - Racing 5-6pm
Traditional Slalom - Practice 6-6-45pm
Traditional Slalom - Racing 7-9pm

Longboard Slalom events will be single lane format.
Traditional Slalom will be dual format.

Permission and Permits? We don’t need no stinking permission or permits!!!

Skate at your own risk!!!! Pads are optional.

No entry fee. All you need to do is bring a friend.

If it rains, keep an eye on the NCDSA.com events forum. I will post all schedule changes and updates a few days prior to each event.

Directions from DC to the Gaithersberg Park and Race:
Take 1270 North to exit 10 (Clopper Rd), go to second traffic light and turn right onto Quince Orchard Rd go to second traffic light and turn right into the "Park and Ride" lot. We will be in the upper left corner of the lot.
