On 6/14/2002 Racer X wrote in from (216.160.nnn.nnn)

Hello all!
The Cascade Slalom Association’s regular Sunday slalom session is on again this weekend after a short hiatus and a successful trip to Breckenridge, Colorado for the 4th race in the FCR/TLP Race series .

Place: North Seattle Community College (SE parking lot)
Time: 2:00 (I may be there earlier)

One of the things we hope to accomplish this weekend is to firm up a local race series schedule. We’ve practiced enough and now it is time to race! We are thinking about a 4 or 5 race - points series to occur between now the end of August. It would be great to give away prizes after every race and then give awards at the end of the season to the points leaders. I bet we can get some pretty nice prizes and have already heard from several different manufacturers and local shops that are willing to donate prizes to the cause! We can discuss this race series in more detail on Sunday. (Doug – we are certainly going to need your expertise with this one!)

For now it looks like our venue at North Seattle Community College is secure and we will be able to continue to use it (un-officially). However, this could change at a moments notice so we still need to be on our best behavior. This means no trash left behind and skating only in the parking lot were the cones are set up.

BREAKING NEWS:
Along with our regular training session this weekend, there will also be some racing! How about a “Dash for Cash- Race. ” $5.00 gets into the contest and you get five timed runs. The fastest run of the day walks away with all the cash – simple! There will be other prizes (trucks, wheels and bearings!) for those who place from 2nd on down. Meaning that everyone who wishes to enter will get a prize!

I am hoping to see some new faces - so bring your friends. There will be lots of extra boards for all to ride and try out. Bring your helmet!

As always, if you have questions, please feel free to contact me at info@roeslalom.com.

Take Care and skate safe!

3pm old town (not too far from walker) is drying up. on doppler radar it looks like just one more front moving through in an hour.
if it doesn't drop any rain it should be ride-able by 8pm.

I am meeting Tway at Vans tonight around 7-8:00. May not get there in time for the 7-9 session but will skate the 9-11. If Walker is dry I am all for slalom. But it looks like a rain out. See you guys tomorrow at the P&R if you are not at Vans.

Tway,
Walker Lane in Springfield/Alexandria is where Ohm, me and others usually practice on Fri at 8pm. Are you going to skate Vans? I could skate with you there and then skate Walker (about 15 minutes away). Let me know what time.

BoBo et al,
I’m in for G-P&R. See you all at 4.

You're coming from Balmer City right C?

Just take the dreaded 495W off of I-95. Follow the directions from there. I find this the fastest way from B-City.

4112 for cabbage
On 6/13/2002 BoBo wrote in from (151.196.nnn.nnn)

I'm thinking late afternoon for a cone session cabbage. I'm certain others will be there. At the very least it'll be myself, PA Dan, WesE, Slappy, and maybe a few others. You'll be in good company.

I know plenty about set-ups if you need some pointers.

E-me if you'd like some, or just bring what you got and we can tweak it there.

By late afternoon I'm thinking around 4ish. let the sun get a bit mellow before we get going.

Sound OK?

Chime in local DC'ers
