hell yeah Wesley, I am sure all of us skateboarders would make that same decision and SK8, rather than watch big guys in tight knickers slappin' each other on their arses.

Georgia State Championships
On 6/28/2002 W. Tucker wrote in from (205.188.nnn.nnn)

I just got an e-mail from Red Clay Racing announcing the Georgia State Championships will be September 14 in Athens. That's a good weekend for racing: still warm, good weather and the Dawgs are out or town on an away trip,

UNFORTUNATELY, they'll be away at Carolina, which is a HOME game for me. Thanks for the info, but, hey, a guy's gotta have priorities.

The race will be at West LA College and include:
- tight slalom (skateboard)
- giant slalom (short board, long board over 36", inline skate)

There will be a winner take all CASH PRIZE pool. Each rider can kick in $10 cash to the pot. If a pot gets over $200 we'll start awarding cash to 2nd and 3rd place.

June 30 Schedule:
9:00 Setup
10:00 Registration and practice starts
12:00 Tight slalom race
1:30 GS races
3:30 Awards ceremony

Descriptions and Directions:

West LA College is located in Culver City near the 405 and 10 freeways, 2 signals southeast of Jefferson and Overland, at 4800 Freshman Drive. Enter through the first open gate (A Street) into campus. There's a big parking lot for warming up, a gentle hill for beginners and tight slalom, the main slalom hill (up to 10 percent grade), and the luge and bike hill (C Street, over 10 percent grade, steep!).

On 6/21/2002 tasos/ILSA wrote in from (63.57.nnn.nnn)

As of 3:45 pm on Friday, the 21st, we have decided to postpone tomorrow mornings schedule of events due to the rain forecast. Competitors, please call me to check in with new info at noon, and no later than 1pm. Please call (843) 442-9584 and keep trying until I or someone answers. Do not leave a message unless imperative. We will be answering your calls. If the rain persists (which I expect it to), we will probably begin our contest at our "secret" location. Please do not disclose this info to the public. Don't forget tonight at the Starfish Grille at the Pier at 6, then 8pm to the Chill & Grill. Be prepared to skate at our "secret" location straight from the C&Grill Friday night. The show must go on...thanks for your patience and understanding.

has anyone heard from Sharon Sidlo? She was supposed to arrive yesterday at 4:30 pm and has not called since. She was leaving from Baltimore on a plane. Please call me if you have any info at 843-442-9584. As for me, my eye will survive. I had major surgery to both lids and to the tear ducts. Thank you for all of your emails and prayers.
