Im guessing sundays a no-go. Looking like 40's & breezy on sun. Ill check here in am to see if anyones going.May be down that way around noon anyways to hit Borders. R. , Youd want to go to ShadyGrove metro on trian, then Bus to Quince Orchard Rd Park & Ride at 270 exits. If that helps. 355 & Quince Orchard Rd intersect a block by Lakeforest mall. If nothing else, figure out the train/bus thing for next race there in a bit. Sounds like most folks are hitting Whitetail to snowboard tomm, we'll see. have fun all, Jeff

Ashlee, You should've come out to the park last night. It's much less crowded at that session and that's why we go then (sorrows to Cabbage). The board of Brian's that you rode was a Deathbox Hackett with 65mm Abec11 NoSkool 92a wheels. I don't know what the trucks were.

I want to get back into the park and have some fun. Most of my bruises have faded by now. Brian or LBK, any chance y'all are heading down? Hey Brian, whay kind of board did you have me on a couple weeks back? I figure I should pick up something of my own. Anything else you think I should try?

Brian, I thought you were going to be snowboarding Sunday with the whitetailers.
If people are running cones on Sunday, I will throw down from 12:30 - on. I need some outside slalom so bad. Bring brooms/blowers and then bring on the blacktop.

The forecast is for 80% rain today and 60% rain tomorrow morning. So it looks like another postponement of the #2 winter series race. Unfortunately several guys have other obligations that would prevent them from making a Sunday race. If enough of you guys want to race on Sunday let me know. I know that at least half of the guys will not be able to make it. Some are snow boarding, family obligation etc.
However if it is dry on Sunday and you guys who want to have a race that is not a point’s race I will be there to lay it down. I am sure that with all of the rain the snowboarding this weekend will also be a bust.
If anyone who is lurking on this board who wants to get into slalom racing. Show up at one of the races and see what it is all about.
Directions: 270N to exit 10 (Clopper Rd). Goto 2nd traffic light turn right onto Quince Orchard Rd, goto 2nd traffic light and turn right into the P&R lot. We will be in the upper right corner.

California Slalom Series #7 and Downhill #5 Results (California Championship Series date 10) West LA College, California 12/8/02
The 2002 California Championship Series finals at West LA College featured tight slalom racing as well as racing for all the downhill sports with pleasant, sunny weather. The field was the largest of the 10 race series, with strong competition in every discipline. The downhill course was another variation on the "A course", with the straight start, followed by a right turn, a small chicane, and then a hard left that took out a few racers before the finish line. The course continued to produce tight racing, with many finishes up in the air until the last second.
The racers packed a local restaurant for the awards party, where the prizes included 2 sets of Kryptonic Classic K wheels as sportsmanship awards for the day’s tight slalom (2 finishers closest to the end of the field who were at the awards). The grand prize was an Ed Economy Gravity super-longboard, donated by Ed Economy himself, that went to Richy Carrasco for taking the season title in skateboard giant slalom. Richy also took home the Baku Torsion Trucks for the season tight slalom title. The racers who made podiums got medals, and season title winners (California Champions) received nice glass plaques. Finally a batch of T shirts from Sasquatch Skateboards and Pure Guts were handed out. After a great season of racing, everyone is looking forward to more in 2003!

If someone could pass my email address along to Jesse Martinez tomorrow, I was told he was at a taped session at the Santa Monica ramp that was shot in 89. I am trying to get ahold of the footage, cause that was my ramp. I was told that he is supposed to be going. I can't be there, because I am lving in Baltimore now. Thanks, Dave {daves131@msn.com}

We are sessioning at 1pm today at the Verizon building right off the Beltway and rt.50 (just inside the Beltway) in VA. It's the Fairview Park area of office buildings. Follow the signs off RT 50 and 495 that say Fairview Park. Turn left on Fairview Parkway and Verizon is the only building on the left side. Go in the second entrance that is the very bottom of the garage. This entrance is best for reducing bust factor.
Now back to your regularly scheduled 'lighthearted banter'. (Killer post Hamm.)
