Rain hasn't abated at all.
The plan is to head over to Vans for the 10am session.
A good sized crew showed up at the race site this morning, so it should be a fun park session.

yes, it is raining right now.
The satelite shows a week system crossing the Peninsula at this time.
May I suggest to everyone to bring their Park board and if the weather just doesn't cooperate soon then we hit up the Vans skatepark.
ugh.

It began raining at 4:30AM...it stopped for the moment but may not dry up by 10AM. I'm hoping it will and I'm planning on heading over.
Looks like we may have to wait until it dries to get started if we want to race today.
I can understand if anyone decides not to come over.

Yo Iz! What up! Howz Mitch's? Is his arm healed?
The slalom part of Elsinore is a 2 day FCR race like last year. I have no idea how the skatepark alliance guys are tying in thier park/street events to it.
The Slalomcross has a separate kids event in the morning before the big boys race. I believe the Womens event is before the Mens event too. I'm sure you can enter and run with the guys if you want. Go to the slalom forum and page back till you see some post from Terry Benko-Brown. She is running the womens/kids events. I'm sure you can email her for more info.
Hey, I'd be stoked to ride w/you & Mitch to either event. I'll meet @ your house & help pay for gas. Let me know.

I'm interested in both these events, but am getting mixed info. 1) Is the Lake Elsnore event 3-fold; Street at the park, Vert at the park, and then Slalom Race OR 2 part (both hybrids) as done last year at the FCR races? 2) How long does the Slalom Cross event last? I've heard rumors of it being OVER at 9:00am Saturday (how?) and driving from SD to the Morro Bay area for 1 hour of skating seems NUTS, but the RACE SOUNDS PHAT!!!!!!!!! so.............. If you've got the "lowdown", please share your knowledge with my "out-of-the-loopness" self. Thanks MUCHO Isabelle

Yes, an afternoon/early-evening race would be the only sure thing. We need to find a dry spot. Andy says he will check out the spot where The Gathering is held. Unfortunately, he is without a car, so that might take awhile. Gaithersburg is at least an hour away from me, so I don't want to be the one to check the sites' conditions. In case you didn't know, there is a DC-specific forum on the Slalom! website. If you need to know the web address, let me know and I will email it to you. I will still post the definite plans here though.
