I am in the same boat as Ohm. Would really liked to have raced with you guys. Ricky Byrd, you should try to have this race each year at around the same time. It looks to be perfect weather. Hope you can make it to Gaithersburg May 3-4.

I am going to be a no show this weekend. Ricky, sorry for the last minute cancellation. Good luck with your race. If Vlad shows he may be tough to beat. Noah better kick some ass. Sorry guys! Bummed!

I hate to trash talk but I think there will be a DC sweep in Old Miss this weekend.
However, I also hope the GA guys do well. And I think there is a sleeper coming to race from St Louis. All of those guys are fast. And the Florida boys could make a good showing.
No doubt everyone will have a blast.

Rodger, you can see photos of the hill we will use...just follow the link below:

All the info is on the Contest Calendar page follow the link at the top of this page.
Becasue this is a last minute thing...adding slalom...we have not coordinated with the other events.
Our plan is to run the racers in order. No exceptions.
I'm promise if we are invited back for the next one, and we accept, we will do a much better job in trying to coordinate with other events. This will be impossible this time around.

Gary, Any chance of some flexibility - for downhill riders to take slalom runs at times that does not conflict (rather than take DQ if not present when called)? Curious, what part of the hill with the slalom race be on?

Eric Cole, I think there may be some overlap. We are running a single lane G/S course. Racing for us will start at 11:30. What this means is the riders will take runs in a certain numbered order....rider 1, rider 2, rider 3 etc. So it may not work this time around. For this Festival we are only planning on running one event and it falls on Sunday. If all goes well we hope to get invited back to run two races over two days at the next Festival....this would mean a more coordinated schedule between the other events and slalom.

I've been needing to give an update on the LSJ so, here it is.
We set the course this past weekend while dodging trafic the whole time. The course is wild, fast and tricky at the top, slightly tighter and tricky at the bottom. It will be a fun yet challenging course for us all.
Had a staff meeting last night at The Forum. It went very well, everybody knows their jobs. Red Bull hooked the staff up with much food and drink. Thanks Red Bull.
Radio and TV spots are on now and they are great! I'll try to post a link to them later. Red Bull estimate the crowd at 1000. Holy S***!
Sponsor prizes are rolling in. We've recieved some great stuff racers will be taking home. Thanks to Fibreflex, Pleasure Tool, Turner, Gravity, Longskate.com, SkateMS.com
Mark McCree is trying to get together a cone session for Saturday (day time). If any racers are coming into town Friday are interested in a pre-race warm up, get in touch with him. Thanks Mark.
I'll be taking off from my real job Friday to finish up some things. Racers, Call me if you get to town and need anything. 601-540-7789
We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
